Dogs Rule, Cats… Are Cool
I was born with 2 Dachshunds in the family that I wrestled within my first years of learning to crawl and have lived with a dog most years of my life. I once had a Doberman Pincher whom I raised & turned into a service dog in the Air Force when I was given an overseas assignment and couldn't take him. For years I had a diabetic Chow Chow that I could leave in the back of a convertible car with the roof down on Hollywood Blvd by the Chinese Theater while I went to a show and knew the car and puppy would be as I left them hours earlier (Note: that was the 1990s... Hollywood Blvd. is a different animal now). I’ve tackled Pit Bulls mistaking my 5 lb. Chihuahua for a squirrel. I’ve crossed paths with multiple coyotes with my Chi’s in the Presidio & have great accuracy throwing rocks. I'm an IT engineer who works at home and sits long periods & my dogs absolutely motivate me to exercise with them daily and there are many places to do so in Dog City, USA!

My pup loves going to Sterlings. He was super excited walking up. He always has a great time. I always appreciate him for helping me out while I had a work event.
Sterling was absolutely amazing and so communicative! The frequent picture updates were much appreciated and he even went above and beyond to help make sure Mateo ate properly in a new environment while still remaining conscious of his health! His home is lovely and a dogs dream with a lovely yard and dog park ventures for pups to enjoy! His two dogs are absolute angels and very well cared for! Highly recommend Sterling to anyone considering booking! 10/10!
Sterling did an AWESOME job taking care of Willow while my wife and I were out of town! He sent plenty of photos and videos, took her to the dog park to keep her engaged, and had her play with his other two dogs Walker and JoJo! Willow felt right at home at Sterlings place and even stole the cat's bed a few times! He also accommodated our request to carry her up/down stairs and to be mindful about Willow's left back leg (injured before we adopted her) and made sure she didn't put too much strain on it. And even when our flights back were delayed for all sorts of reasons he was understanding and accommodated us going to pick up Willow. Great sitter, would recommend if you need someone reliable!
Thank you so much for taking care of Mister President. He was very happy and tired. Sterling has great communication and took cute pics.

Sterling accommodated a very last minute dog sitting for Athena. He shared a lot of updates and his dogs got along great with Athena!

Schedule
I've been working remotely and keep my pups with me. We exercise daily at the beach, Presidio or at any of the great parks in the area. We would go to Ocean Beach more often if not for all of the stinky stuff that washes up on shore that they just can't resist rolling around in (a dead walrus tops a skunk's stink by a mile) necessitating a bath(s).... in tomato juice?

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is critical! I have a fenced yard which makes dogs possible in the city. They are never exposed to the street, so there’s zero chance of a mishap with escaping. I usually take my McNab/Border Collies (who were raised by Chihuahuas 😊) to Crissy Field, the Presidio, the Beach or Golden Gate dog park daily, so my dogs are quite social

A typical day
We have a great fenced back yard which makes escape impossible and as far as going to any of the local dog parks blocks away... it entirely depends on our connection and comfort level. I'm sure I've crossed paths with most of the huge contingent of dog walkers on this side of the city in the Presidio or Fort Funston.
