Senior dogs are a priority.
Hello dog owners and friends! My name is Steve and I am a retired professional who calls Cape Cod home. I enjoy taking care of adult and senior pets. (Please note that my regular clients have a locked-in rate that is lower than the rate stated in my Rover Profile). Rates for new clients are sometimes negotiable. For Starters - I have ramps into my house and into my completely fenced-in back yard. I make every effort to make your dog feel like they are home. I have several dog beds throughout the house and provide easy access to my back yard. I am adept at giving medications, if necessary during your dog's stay. I live close to 2 cranberry bogs, which I use to walk larger dogs during their stay. I have been a pet owner since 2007 and have rescued a number of senior dogs since that time. Currently, I have a new senior addition to my household; Bailey, a very chill mini-border collie. She gets a long with most dogs and all people.

Notes et avis
Rufus loves going to Stephen’s house. Stephen always takes great care of Rufus and treats him like a king!! He takes him on walks and opens up his home to him. We know he is in good hands!
Thank you Steve, Rufus enjoys being with you. We always know he is in good hands
Thanks again! Sorry for the delay. Been recuperating and forgot
Both of my elderly dogs love staying with Uncle Stephen! We get photos showing how much fun they are having as well as them enjoying the multiple beds/ sofas/ etc. Highly recommend!
Thank you, Stephen. Maisy loved her time with you. The walks and pets and overall love were much appreciated. Maisy is usually anxious to leave other sitters when we pick her up. However when we came to pick her up from your house, she kept running back and forth between the two of us. That is a sure sign that she had a wonderful stay.
I booked Stephen the same day 1 hour before booking. He was very generous and took amazing care of my Poppy. He also kept me updated with texts and pictures. Poppy was very happy. I highly recommend and will definitely book again when I’m in the area.

I retired from my job in the pharmaceutical industry at an early age so that I could enjoy many years of retirement and doing the things that I enjoy such as taking care of other people's pets.

I live near 2 very large cranberry bogs and several walking trails. I typically take dogs there for long walks. Most people walk their dogs off-leash at the bogs, but I'm not willing to risk it for the pets I take care of.
