Availability
Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m available throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins, and I can easily adjust to your pet’s schedule. Since I don’t have a long commute or fixed office hours, I’m flexible and able to give pets the attention and companionship they need whenever they need it.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in my home, I keep things calm, safe, and focused on their comfort. I only host one client at a time, so your pet gets my full attention. My home has a grassy outdoor area (unfenced), and pets are always supervised when outside. Inside, they’re welcome to relax on the furniture or even sleep in bed with me if that’s what they’re used to—it’s all about keeping their routine familiar and stress-free. In a client’s home, I make safety and trust my top priorities. I always follow your instructions closely, from feeding and walks to routines and house rules, and I double-check doors and gates to ensure your pet stays secure. I’m experienced with administering medications and managing special diets, so you can feel confident that your pet’s specific needs will be met.

Information Stephanie W. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I like to know about their daily routine, feeding schedule, and any medications or special diets they’re on. It’s also helpful to understand their personality—do they have lots of energy, or do they prefer a calmer pace? Are they shy, social, or protective? Please share any quirks, favorite activities, or things that make them nervous so I can make them feel safe and comfortable. The more I know about your pet’s needs and preferences, the better I can care for them.
A typical day
A typical day depends on each pet’s needs and routine, but it always includes a mix of activity, care, and plenty of affection. For dogs, that might mean walks around the neighborhood, playtime in the yard, or even a hike if they’re up for it. For cats, it could be interactive play, enrichment toys, or just cozy companionship. I keep to the feeding and potty schedule you provide and make sure pets get attention and downtime so they feel comfortable and happy. At the end of the day, they’ll have had exercise, stimulation, and lots of love.

Work-From-Home Pet Lover
Pet care experience
I have over 15 years of professional pet care experience (plus 10 years personally), working with dogs, cats, and even farm animals like horses and sheep. I’ve also cared for dog litters, giving me experience with pets at every stage of life. I’m a trained volunteer with the Humane Society and regularly complete their training and refresher courses, so I stay up to date on best practices for animal care, safety, and enrichment. Whether it’s puppies, seniors, or pets with special routines, I’m confident in providing the right balance of structure and love. Because I work from home, I have plenty of time and flexibility to give pets my full attention. I enjoy walks and hikes, but I always follow the owner’s routine so pets feel safe and comfortable. I’m also happy to provide enrichment and activities to keep them engaged. What sets me apart is my reliability and communication—I follow care instructions closely and will check in with you as often as you’d like. As a lifelong animal lover who had my own dog for 10 years, I know how important pets are to the family. I truly enjoy spending time with them, and I’ll make sure your pets feel happy, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

Reviews

Our two pups stayed with Stephanie for a day while we were exploring the area. Stephanie was communicative leading up to the stay, & sent us lots of updates throughout the day to let us know how the pups were doing. We were very happy with their care & would definitely recommend Stephanie for anyone needing a pet sitter.

Stephanie was great!! Very responsive, flexible, and overall very easy to coordinate care with and great with our dog. She watched him while we were on vacation and needed to be dog free for a day. He seemed very happy with her. Would recommend!

Stephanie was very accommodating and great with our little Maggie. We were visiting the area on vacation and Stephanie was able to watch Maggie for us on 2 separate days as we did some excursions. Maggie felt at home and was very comfortable with Stephanie. We highly recommend her.

Looked after our Maggie while we toured Sedona. Maggie was very comfortable and Stephanie was great with here. Highly re commend.
