Safety, trust & environment
My goal is to give pups a home away from home and a fun and safe environment. In our home, pets will have plenty of engaging play time and socialization with other pups. You can expect a lot of photos and updates throughout their stay and I like to keep pet parents updated on their pups.

Information Stephanie V. would like to know about your pet
Prior to scheduling a meet and greet, I'll ask basic questions to screen for overall fit. If your pup sounds like a good fit, we proceed with a meet and greet. At the meet and greet, I’ll ask a variety of questions to ensure a comfortable stay for your pup. If you have any questions about my services, please reach out :) Meet and greets are a brief 15-30 minutes but I am thorough. I will ask questions about your dog's general temperament, energy levels, meal time behaviors, allergies, medications, treats, leash behaviors, crating, bed time routines, sleep, territorial behaviors, exercise abilities and anything that may be relevant according to your pet bio. However, if there is anything unique to your pet that I do not cover -- please let me know.
A typical day
Dogs have on-demand access to potty breaks in our fenced yard and yard time any time they need. In general, dogs are let out first thing in the morning and fed according to their schedule at home. Dogs get potty breaks a minimum of every 2-4 hours (or more frequently if needed) and are not left unattended in our yard. I do try to incorporate at least 1 enrichment activity a day in addition to walks/play time, playtime/walk time will vary according to your pet's needs. We may do hikes as well or other fun trails as well. If you do not want me to drive with your pet to any trails or parks, please let me know.

Pet care experience
Hello! I'm Stephanie and I live in Sugarhouse/East Bench with my husband David and we love dogs. We are experienced dog owners/caretakers and are dog parents to Poppy, an energetic coonhound. She is our second coonhound after losing our 14-year-old dog.
Reviews

The best sitter ever! She sends lots of photos and gives my dog lots of outside time!

Stephanie provided great care of my two pups with lots of appreciated photo updates. She was even very flexible in addressing last minute travel changes. Will definitely look forward to working with her again!

Stephanie takes such great care of our pup! She’s very communicative and provides daily updates. She is attentive and respects our dog’s unique needs. We appreciate her!

Stephanie and her husband made me very comfortable leaving my dog with them for the weekend. They were attentive, let her hangout on their couch (which is her favorite), plenty of ourdoor time and sent me lots of updates with pictures. Will definitely be using their sitter services again!
