Pet care experience

I’m your pet’s favorite Aunty!

About Aunty Stephanie With 23 years of dog care experience and over 60 foster pups and adult dogs welcomed through local rescues, I bring calm, loving, and gentle energy to every dog I meet. Whether it’s your shy senior or your easygoing adult pup, I specialize in giving dogs a peaceful, affectionate home away from home. I’m especially passionate about caring for mellow and senior dogs who need a quiet, nurturing space outside of loud daycares or boarding facilities. My approach is patient and intuitive—helping anxious or first-time visitors settle in, feel safe, and (often!) fall a little in love with their favorite Aunty. I’m experienced in feeding, walking, playtime, medication management, nail trims, bathing, and even basic wound care when needed. Your dog will be in thoughtful, capable hands every step of the way. About My Home My backyard is a safe, fully fenced oasis with flowers, veggies, and fruit trees to sniff and explore. It’s a lovely, low-key environment where dogs can relax, wander, and enjoy nature—whether basking in the sun or napping in the shade. Take a peek at my reviews to hear how other pet parents describe their dogs’ stays—many come back again and again because of the love and peace their pups feel here.

Stephanie was fantastic with my two, rather large pitties. Being a first time Rover user and really a first time pet sitter user in general, I was very apprehensive to what felt like giving up my dogs to a stranger. But any apprehension I had quickly went away with Stephanie. She gave constant updates and sent pictures on a daily basis of my pups playing in her beautiful fenced in backyard. She clearly has a love for dogs and maybe a soft spot for pitties. I would recommend her to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience with Stephanie! Nina clearly felt comfortable and happy the entire time. She loved playing in the yard and relaxing with naps on the sofa, which shows how at home she felt. Thank you so much for taking care of her with so much love and attention—we truly appreciate it and would absolutely recommend your services!

My very old dog stayed with Stephanie for one week; still healing from a foot injury the week prior. We have left our dog with other sitters and she frequently would come home out-of-sorts and take some time to recover- but not after staying with Stephanie! I can tell that my old girl was well cared for and in a relaxed environment while she was in Stephanie’s home. I am grateful and really appreciate the TLC my dog received at her stay!

Schedule

I work from home full time, and have an office full of dog beds and comfortable chairs for your dog to relax and nap during the day. We take frequent potty and play breaks outside in the fully-fenced backyard. My yard is a certified wildlife sanctuary full of native plants, fruit trees, and a large vegetable garden — so there is all kinds of opportunity to sniff and explore.

Safety, trust & environment

I want your pet to have restful yet fulfilling days that strike a balance between gentle play/exploration and lots of naps and belly rubs. It would be a joy to care for your sweet pup.

Pets

A typical day

When the weather is nice we spend lots of time outside sniffing plants, looking for squirrels, and playing fetch. On cold and rainy days we use snuffle mats and treat puzzles to work our minds and even romp around a little bit in the open space of the full basement. But the best parts of the days are spent cozied up on a warm, comfortable bed close to Aunty Steph who generously doles out belly rubs and scratches.

I require an in person meeting greet to ensure your dog is comfortable here with me, my home, and my two house dogs: Lucas and Major. I also need to know how, and if (daycare) your dog needs to be fed and if you will supply their food or use mine.
