HELLO BONNYVILLE PET OWNERS! After 2 years of not being able to get into this profile, I am back and able to provide services in my new area! To all my Calgary clients, thank you for allowing me to be around and care for your pets. I miss so many of them! Thank you again. On to my intro: My life has happily revolved around animals for 40+ years. I grew up in a home who had show dogs and a stable. I have been a trainer of a few domesticated species, and have learned I really enjoy helping animals. As an animal ethicist, I enjoy helping pets feel settled and content with their life. I can be a knowledgeable, reliable person for walks, or someone who can recognize your dogs needs when they are let out to play. I only work or walk with one dog at a time unless socialization is desired. Any groups for socialization is a maximum of three dogs, slowly conditioned. I am excellent with special needs pets, small or large breeds. Puppies, senior dogs, pets who have experienced trauma, medications, or physical rehab. Cats, dogs, or other small pets. I am located on a working farm, and any animals staying with us will be treated like my own. Lots of space to walk and play. I do have cats, and can only take boarding dogs who are good with other dogs and cats. Working with animals is all I do, and I keep my client list very small and manageable. Your animals always have my full attention. My availability is usually very flexible. Not all, but I do have some weekends when needed. Please message to find out availability before booking. I do require 3 days notice before booking. However, feel free to message and inquire if it's within 3 days. Inquiries are always accepted! Worst I can say is no! I won't chastise you just for an inquiry! I do prefer pet parents to send me an inquiry and meet and greet before booking. ( It's nice to know it only dropped to 5 in my long absence!) Please note, dog walking and dog training are different activities. Pups just learning on a leash are fine for walking.! :) However, if they drag you around and try to bark and fight...this requires some training work. Please let me know about your dogs winter tolerance, and if he wears boots or needs balm. In summer, let me know any extra hot weather precautions. I am a big fan of Flexi leash training. Especially for active dogs. Dogs can learn commands on a Flexi very easily. This is my focus for training. Flexi provides a safe way to truly exercise your dog when surroundings might not permit off-leash activity. Flexi is only harmful when dogs do not have direction. I provide the direction and focus. To sum myself up: I am a great fit for pet parents looking for very knowledgeable help who believes animals are a part of our family.
