Animal Shelter Enrichment Volunteer, Stephanie "Stevie" is experienced with managing the special needs of high-anxiety and/or reactive dogs. She has rescued and rehabilitated 3 dogs of her own, and 6 cats. She is an active volunteer at the local animal shelter, helping with adoption events and enrichment activities. Stevie has been a pet-sitter since she was 12 years old. She started with plants and birds, and now 20 years later, can work with any animal, including ones that require bottle feedings, complex medication schedules, or homestays up to 2 weeks. Farm animals too! Chickens, ducks, and goats! She was a camp counselor for 3 summers and also conducted a work exchange at a homestead farm for 1 summer. She successfully worked for Trusted Housesitters but has switched to Rover for more local opportunities.

I understand your home is your sanctuary, and I aim to leave it as if I was never there. All poops are bagged up and properly disposed of immediately. All water drops or pee piddles are cleaned up with pet-safe sanitation spray. The door locks are always double checked upon departure. I send pictures of your pets happy and healthy during every visit.

We were visiting from out of town, so we weren’t able to do a meet-and-greet beforehand, but we felt comfortable trusting her from our very first phone call. She took great care of our 2 month old puppy, made sure he got plenty of potty breaks, playtime, and naps, and followed our feeding and safety instructions perfectly. She also kept us updated throughout the day with texts, photos, and little check-ins about how he was doing, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy and well loved pup and would absolutely trust her again if we’re in the area in the future. Highly recommend!
Stevie stayed in my home with Miley and Parker for four days and took incredible care of both of them. She made sure they received all of their medications, kept me updated with messages and photos, and gave them so much love and attention. I came home to two happy, relaxed dogs and a house that was just as I left it. Knowing they were so well cared for gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I'll be booking Stevie every chance I get... so get in line! 😊
Stephanie did a wonderful job taking care of our babies!! She kept in touch and sent pictures everyday. We will definitely book with her again!

Stevie was great with my pets and administered medications provided when needed for my senior. I would give 5 stars but unfortunately people who were not verified through the rover app were brought onto my property by the sitter during the job and I was not notified. Only reason I knew was due to property camera footage. Dog care was overall great.
