Animal Shelter Enrichment Volunteer, Stephanie "Stevie" is experienced with managing the special needs of high-anxiety and/or reactive dogs. She has rescued and rehabilitated 3 dogs of her own, and 6 cats. She is an active volunteer at the local animal shelter, helping with adoption events and enrichment activities. Stevie has been a pet-sitter since she was 12 years old. She started with plants and birds, and now 20 years later, can work with any animal, including ones that require bottle feedings, complex medication schedules, or homestays up to 2 weeks. Farm animals too! Chickens, ducks, and goats! She was a camp counselor for 3 summers and also conducted a work exchange at a homestead farm for 1 summer. She successfully worked for Trusted Housesitters but has switched to Rover for more local opportunities.

I understand your home is your sanctuary, and I aim to leave it as if I was never there. All poops are bagged up and properly disposed of immediately. All water drops or pee piddles are cleaned up with pet-safe sanitation spray. The door locks are always double checked upon departure. I send pictures of your pets happy and healthy during every visit.

We highly recommend Stephanie! She house sat and watched our 8-year-old Russell terrier mix for 10 days while we were away. She was punctual and kept our home in perfect shape. We especially appreciated how dependable she was with his nightly medication and how thoughtful she was to send us photo updates throughout our trip. Our dog was incredibly happy when we returned. Stevie has watched my cat and my dog numerous times. Both of my animals love her and get excited when she comes in the room. She is great with any and all animals. She makes sure to spend a good amount of time with them (playing, feeding, walking and cleaning up after them) and gave me updates along the way. I would choose Stevie to watch my animals every time!
Stephanie showed up when she was expected and did everything for my dogs that i asked. She even went above and beyond and cleaned up the messes left in the yard before we got home. I relied on her to take great care of my pups and she delivered! Don't hesitate to reach out!
