Experienced & Loving Care
Hi there! I’m Stephanie, a homeowner in Mission, Kansas. I’ve been working as a full time pet care professional for the past 2 years, offering in-home boarding as well as drop in visits, and from time to time even daycare upon request! I have extensive experience with both dogs and cats, and I'm comfortable administering medications, including shots. Whether your pet is a playful puppy, a senior citizen, or has special needs, I'm confident I can provide the individualized attention they require. I'm happy to say that all my regulars are well-socialized and love to play together! We do host multiple doggies and the house can get very lively! For those that need extra space from others, we are able to separate if needed. My home features a fenced backyard where your doggy can enjoy plenty of playtime. We love a good game of fetch! We also take regular walks down to the cul-de-sac in our quiet neighborhood. I'm home a majority of the day, and we provide consistent potty breaks at least every 2 hours. Realistically in this house potty breaks are about every 20 minutes, there’s always someone who wants to go outside 😀 At meal time, we separate everyone to avoid any food jealousy and anxiety. If they are used to free feeding, we typically take them aside every few hours to offer their food. We have a large dog fountain that most puppers love, but if they prefer their own bowl that’s fine too! I'm passionate about providing a comfortable, fun, and safe environment for your pets. I understand that leaving your beloved companions can be stressful, and I prioritize providing regular updates and photos to keep you connected while you're away. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your furry family member! A little bit about me: Previously in my professional life I was a sales manager for 15 years. I’ve also worked in project management, hiring programs, and HR. I really enjoy the freedom from metrics, quotas, forecasting, deadlines, conference calls, Zoom meetings, thinking outside the box, and circling back. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to enjoy life, spend time at home, and soak in the unlimited doses of serotonin with every precious tail wag, ear flop, and doggy smile. My teenage godchildren spend a lot of time with me and the puppers, you’ll be sure to meet them when you stop by. They are the best helpers and pet lovers you could ask for, we say every day - WE HAVE THE BEST LIFE! I’m a big reader, mostly audio books. One of my favorite novels is The Art of Racing in the Rain. It looks like a sad book, and it is in a way, but not the kind of sad you get mad at. Typically I enjoy mysteries, thrillers, and autobiographies but I’m always looking for your best recommendations. To book with me: Please send me a message with the dates you will need pet care. From there we can set up a meet and greet, at which time you can bring your pupper(s) over to sniff out the house and we can chat more about their care and personalities. If you feel that they will be comfortable here and we’re a good fit, feel free to confirm the booking on the Rover app. I’m happy to pick up and drop off your pups for their stay, at no additional charge. Many of my clients appreciate this, especially on travel days so please let me know if that would make things easier for you. "Happiness is a warm puppy." - Charles Schulz

Stephanie took great care of our dog. Our dog is high energy and very social, so Stephanie made sure he had a great time playing with other dogs.

Great experience from start to finish! We have a 16 week old puppy ... Stephanie was great with him! Communication was perfect, Stephanie shared photos, and our pup was thrilled to have some playmates for the weekend!

Stephanie was wonderful with my beloved dog’s first overnight stay with her. You can tell she is not only caring and passionate about dogs, but she is extremely professional and kind. This combination ensures that you and your dog are in great care with her. I would highly recommend her and feel lucky to have her as a future boarding option.

Hopper isn’t the easiest of dogs with some of the issues we’ve been working on by way of a professional trainer. I was a little worried how he would do away from us for 8 nights. But we were told he did great. He loved playing with the different dogs. Did well with Stephanie & her helper. Hopper was even fine with having an occasional time-out when he got too worked up barking. Something I’ve had to do myself. After my first check in before we left on a trip, my worries faded. Hopper seemed to enjoy his stay and all the attention. He is a Velcro dog, loves belly rubs & laps, which he got plenty. Hopper slept pretty much the entire day after we picked him up. He didn’t even whine or bark at cars as we drove home. It feels good to know he will do well at a sitter or doggy daycare situation. Highly recommend Stephanie & will definitely be booking her services again.

This was our second time booking with Stephanie. She does so good with our Peanut! We get cute updates and feel confident he’s being well taken care of.

Stephanie is just great. The first meet & greet Hopper was overstimulated and did not behave as normal. He was very subdued and disinterested. We did a 2nd one and Hopper showed his not so well behavior, which is improving with the help of a trainer. I was worried that Hopper might have made too bad an impression, but Stephanie agreed to have him for a daycare stay. At first we set it for a couple hours, but Hopper did better than I expected, so we extended for most the day. Stephanie was even able to get Hopper harnessed & leashed, something that Hoppers only let my husband do before. Hopper had fun playing with another dog and was exhausted once we got home. He pretty much ate & passed out. We are so glad she was willing to watch him to see how he’d do, before we booked Hopper for an upcoming extended stay. We know Hopper can be a butthead & a bit much at times, so we are extremely happy to know he’ll be in good hands when we travel.

Schedule
Pet care is my full time job, I'm up early between 6 and 7 to start the day. "Last out" is typically around 11pm and 2 hours would be the maximum time between potty breaks.

I do have a fenced in yard, and spend time both outside and inside with your pet. I follow instructions well and can care for your pet the same way you would. I enjoy just sitting and playing with dogs & cats according to their vibe
A typical day
Activities for dogs vary from pet to pet. I'm happy to walk doggies around the neighborhood or take them to the park or dog park, whatever the humans are comfortable with. I've cared for elderly dogs that just want to be held or pushed in a stroller too. Doggies get a lot of potty breaks at my house, and there's a paved area in the back yard where we spend a lot of time playing ball! The most popular inside spot is on the couch at the window where everyone can keep an eye on the neighborhood!
