Experienced Canine Care
I’ve owned dogs my entire life and I started my own non-profit dog rescue over 10 years ago. I have both personal and foster dogs residing in my home. The current canine crew ranges in size from 8lbs to 100. We also have horses and chickens that live on our property as well. I have experience with many breeds, including large dominant breeds, and I’m a confident dog handler. I’m comfortable interacting with, and handing, dogs that may not be trusting of new people as many dogs that come into rescue have a history of abuse and/or neglect. I also have experience with an array of canine medical conditions and I am comfortable with administering medications or providing any other medical care that may be necessary. I prefer to take in older dogs for boarding as we are a calm and laid back home. Dogs MUST be crate trained. They are only crated at night, or when we are not home, to ensure everyone’s safety.

Stephanie was absolutely wonderful with our older dog- she'd been having issues with her hips and going up and down stairs- Stephanie was great with administering her daily medications and helping her get around. Stephanie kept in touch while we were away and provided updates and pictures. We will definitely be calling Stephanie next time we go away and can't bring our Shea!

Stephanie was great! Good communication and flexible with my fluctuating arrival times. Otto got to spend a downtempo weekend in a bucolic setting and made friends with various barnyard animals :)

Schedule
I work from home most days so the dogs will have at least four potty breaks during the day. Dogs must be house trained and crate trained. I cannot accept vocal dogs.

We have a fenced in area attached to our back deck so the dogs can lounge around on the nice days. We do take walks most evenings on our dead end road.

A typical day
We have a toy box with marrow bones, nylabones, kongs and stuffed toys. We go on walks when the weather is nice. We also have a large deck that the pups can sunbathe on.

- Please let me know if your dog has any behavioral or medical issues. All dogs are separated during meal times. We do have a toy box filled with nylabones and other toys that the dogs have open access to. If a dog has resource guarding issues I need to know that ahead of time. I cannot take in dogs that are barkers as I do work from home.
