Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Stephanie—an animal care professional with 13+ years of hands-on experience and a lifelong passion for creating safe, enriching, and loving environments for animals of all kinds. My journey has taken me from the wilderness of Alaska*, where I raised and cared for a team of Alaskan Husky sled dogs, to leadership roles in animal welfare—working my way up to Operations and CSR Lead at an animal shelter, while also serving as a Client Experience Coordinator at a busy animal emergency hospital. In early 2025, I proudly founded my own rescue, Pawsitive Tales Rescue, where I continue to advocate for and care for vulnerable animals in need. Animals aren’t just my career—they’re my life. Whether I’m caring for playful puppies, senior dogs, shy cats, or medical-needs pets, I bring patience, experience, and genuine compassion to every animal I meet. My background in shelter medicine, emergency veterinary care, rescue work, and behavior gives me the confidence to care for pets with a wide variety of personalities and needs. When I’m not working, you’ll find me outdoors adventuring with my retired sled dogs and my corgi—usually hiking, exploring, or chasing the next view. The mountains have my soul, but my heart belongs to every kitty and pup I’ve had the privilege to love. If you’re looking for someone experienced, dependable, and deeply passionate about animal welfare, your pets will be in caring and capable hands with me. I can’t wait to meet your furry family. 🐾

We have been bringing one of our dogs, Mabel, to Steph’s since she was just a pup. Steph has helped to support the training we have done with Mabel to provide consistency which is important for our girl. Her balanced pack has helped to socialize Mabel from a young age, which was our goal. Mabel’s the kind of dog that needs regular social interactions with dogs to help her keep learning. Even though Mabel can get sassy, Steph keeps working with her in a positive way and her pack keeps welcoming Mabel in. We started sending our second dog, Walter, to Steph and he fits right in. He loves playing with her pack, but probably loves snuggling with Steph more. Both Mabel and Walter get super excited when the car pulls up to Steph’s house, and they are happy and exhausted when I pick them up! Steph is an incredible human, and has helped so much with our dogs. She is honest, trustworthy, and a true animal lover. I’m so happy we stumbled on Steph and the Whack Pack’s rover profile. Don’t look any further - just call Steph.

Steph is a dog lover and a wonderful care taker. She has an abundance of experience, not only from her job, but from her personal life as well. She is extremely knowledgeable on dog needs and different breed types.

I know Stephanie through Tri County Humane Society. She is wonderful with all of the animals and has years of experience working with all breeds of dogs. She is responsible, loving and compassionate and will treat your pets like her own. Whether you need overnight care, or someone to exercise your dog occasionally, you can trust Stephanie!

Stephanie and the entire whack pack are amazing! My dog was known to be a difficult dog she was learning that people aren't scary. She absolutely loves being with Stephanie! She thrives in the established pack structure that Stephanie's house provides. And Stephanie has also been incredibly kind even when my escape artist tries to run the streets. If you want someone who is going to treat your pet like they are her very own look no further. You and your furbaby won't be sorry!
