My name is Stephanie and I am a pet lover and dog mom to my pack of 4 amazing rescues who range in age from 3 all the way to my senior who is 11 years old! My experience with dogs - training and care - stretches back 30 years when I began my career as a police canine handler working 2 German Shepherd dogs - both were patrol dogs and one was cross trained as a bomb dog. During my career, I attended many training events and received certifications from the United States Police Canine Association. After I retired, I spent a year working as a Vet Tech in an animal hospital. I have been a dog foster with animal rescues for about 5 years, specializing in working with dogs with special needs - from medical to behavioral. I hold certification from the American Red Cross in Cat and Dog First Aid. I moved to Pinehurst, NC in 2022 with my better half Jeff for all things golf and someday real retirement! Jeff and I are empty nesters as my son and his daughter have flown the coop. Our 4 dogs are "our children" and I know the peace of mind that comes from being able to find good quality, reasonably priced pet care for your beloved pets when you are away.

I offer drop-in visits, pet walking, or overnight stays, or we can customize care according to your needs and desires. I will follow your care instructions to the tee and will provide you with updates as requested. For added peace of mind, in addition to the Rover Guarantee, I do carry my own private pet care liability insurance policy through PETCARE Insurance.

Stephanie came to spend some time with my senior dog Roscoe yesterday. He loved her! Roscoe loves people but can take time to warm up on initial meeting. Stephanie understood this instinctively and was very gentle in her approach with him, allowing him to come to her when he was ready. She was interested in learning all the details about Roscoe's personality, daily routine, likes & dislikes, as well as about his physical needs. I highly recommend Stephanie as a pup caregiver, and look forward to working with her in the future.
I cannot say enough about Stephanie. Benjamin and Soloman just love her. I never have to worry about my pets when they are being cared for by Stephanie. She treats them as if they were her own. I highly recommend her.
Absolutely amazing in every aspect.
We were away for a day or two longer than usual and we’re concerned how the pups would do. True to form, Stephanie put us at ease on the first day. The dogs absolutely love seeing her and had a fantastic time! Stephanie took beautiful pictures for us and made a few short videos capturing their time together. We arrived home to a clean house (she went above and beyond) and were able to relax and enjoy our puppy reunion. Thank you again Stephanie!

Pet sitting fits naturally into my daily routine, allowing me to provide dependable, attentive care. I’m available 7 days a week for walks and drop-in visits, and I also offer overnight house sitting as my schedule allows. I’m comfortable caring for cats, dogs, fish, birds and even farm animals, and I love giving each pet the time and attention they deserve to feel safe and happy while you’re away.
