My Belgian Shepard grew to be 15 years old before he went to puppy heaven. During this time, I learned how to administer his medicine and just make him as comfortable as possible. Old dogs and cats are still just puppies and kittens, they just need extra attention to make sure they are eating, drinking and comfortable. Oh, and all the lovins ?
A typical day
Whenever I’m watching dogs, I like to play with them with whatever toys are available or with the tennis balls I try and have with me. If we’re going on a walk, I’ll walk around the neighborhood or recommend dog park (by owner) something with familiar smells and give loads of praise and encouragement throughout the walk.

Enthusiastic animal lover here! 🐾🩵 My first dog was a Belgian Shepherd, Isaac, and he was my road dog and best friend for 15 years. Together we went through agility training, herding and behavior commands included German, sign language and intuitive trainings. Some of my favorite childhood/young adult memories had Isaac’s paw prints all over them. He even joined in for dance parties and carpool karaoke! I’ve also been lucky enough to have multiple cats and learn their behaviors and mannerisms as well. Very experienced with high energy working breeds and larger breeds of dogs but also with smaller breeds as well. Cats might be easier to take care of but also get the same amount of love and attention from me. My own cat has her daily snuggles she must be given. Experienced with puppies, kittens, even some farm animals!

Stephanie was amazing with Jessie - she was communicative, send lots of great photos and you could tell they were both enjoying each other! Stephanie went above and beyond during a week filled with snow and ice, helping clear the steps to get Jessie outside and taking such great care. She also had to deal with an hvac technician when our heat stopped working while we were away. Can’t say enough about how much we appreciated her care of our home and pup 🫶🏼
I cannot recommend Stephanie. Our care instructions were clear and were ignored. Based on our doorbell and garage cameras/sensors we could tell that she left our dog for 9.5 hours twice in 3 days and that he had minimal walks and potty breaks. We had to find new care mid-booking. While on a plane to another country I found out she was not at our house at 3am. We called her and she went over claiming to have accidentally fallen asleep, but upon her arrival did not take our dog out to go potty (his last time had been 5:30pm) so he did not go out for a total of 15 hours. I’m not sure we ever would have been told if she had slept through the night and left our dog alone without us calling her. The following night was another 7pm - 11am duration without potty. The following day she was gone for 9.5 hours and then left for another 1.5 hours in the late evening before we called her. She claimed to have been at the store 700 ft away. This is not the type of care expected when booking house sitting, nor is it suitable for a dog to be alone that much.
