Pet care experience

Common to exotic, I care for all!

I have a soft spot in my heart for all animals. Before becoming a homeowner in 2018, I cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and mice, fish, rabbits, bearded dragon, and more for friends and family. I'd walk, play, feed, bathe, administer meds, and do some mentally stimulating games with them. After purchasing my own home, I began to rescue and care for a variety of animals -- cats and kittens, emaciated dogs, ferrets, chinchillas, dwarf hamsters, small and large and gigantic dogs. I've settled into 2 of my own dogs, a cat, and a few chinchillas. I absolutely love caring for animals, which is why I want to work for Rover!

Stephanie is awesome and so good with the pets. It was so easy to schedule and she did such a good job taking care of my pets while I was gone. Would 100% recommend!

Our one year old wild and crazy boxer had a wonderful time while staying with Stephanie and her two young dogs. We appreciated seeing videos and pictures of the fun they were having. Stephanie allowed us to do a meet and greet prior to us leaving Jake in her care. She was very easy to reach via text or phone. We would definitely use her services again!

Stephanie did a wonderful job taking care of our critters while we were away! Sent pictures and was easily available to provide us with check-ups for those left in her charge. Will definitely keep her info handy for our next time we have to be away. Great sitter!

I’m so grateful for Stephanie taking care of my two kitties. I was a little nervous because I had never used this service before, but all my fears were wiped away the minute I met her. She is an excellent provider and I will definitely be reaching out to reschedule for all cat sitting needs.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I make my own schedule between a few non-profit jobs, so my schedule is extremely flexible. I am comfortable in a dynamic work setting, meaning I can take bookings weeks in advance or day of.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has caged pets
Has 1 dog, has cats
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs not allowed on furniture

Safety, trust & environment

In the pet's home, I ask many questions about routine and likes/dislikes. I find as much regularity and consistency between my care and their owner's care as possible is good for any pet. Whether that's throwing balls, running around the yard, snuggling, playing games, going for a walk, or just a quiet entrance and exit.

Pets

A typical day

Depending on what breed your animal is and their likes and dislikes, I enjoy playing tug of war, fetch, hide and seek, find the toy, sensory toys (muffin tins, PB, frozen treats), and more. I can use what you have or provide my own.

I find it important to know energy levels, if theyr'e a flight risk, things that excite them, allergies, things they're not allowed to do when their humans are home, if they're prone to accidents or anxiety, ways to calm them if they are nervous, and other things like that.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
