Dogsitting is what I do for a living. I don't mind driving out of town for overnight gigs with appropriate compensation. Just ask and let's see what we can set up.

Safety, trust & environment
For overnights, I like to keep handwritten notes throughout the day and have little photoshoots here and there. I prefer to check in via text at the end of the day w some nice photos and a brief summary of the day's events. My clients enjoy reading the full report when they get home.
Information Stephanie M. would like to know about your pet
I need to know if an animal has any behavioral issues, special commands, or medical needs. Let me know if they are food aggressive, if they're triggered by hats, if they need help going potty, if they need pills at 8 o'clock sharp! Communication is key.
A typical day
I like to keep the animals on their routine as close as possible while their people are away. Please let me know their regular feeding times and amounts, what games/toys they like best, and leash habits for walks.

Pet care experience
Starting in 2020, I spent a few years on the road doing a variety of gigs, primarily animal transportation. I got to see the entire country and meet a ton of awesome animals - mostly dogs & puppies, but rabbits, kitties, lizards, too. I have since planted my flag in Galesburg, IL, and am hoping to build up a clientele of regular check-ins here in this area as I build a home for myself off the road. I am happy to book new clients through Rover, but I do most of my gigs through direct booking after the initial sit. Since Rover keeps 20% of a sitter's fee, please consider tipping in full to make up the difference. Upon meeting new clients, I would like to let folks know that it is common courtesy to compensate a potential sitter if they are traveling from out of town for a meet & greet. It is not expected but greatly appreciated to offer to stock the fridge for overnights, especially for longer sits. These are things I have learned from my favorite clients, families that have taught me how to make a happy living caring for their beloved households.
Reviews

Stephanie was absolutely wonderful with my dog! She took the time to send me pictures and a very thoughtful update, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. I could tell my pup was happy and well cared for, and I would definitely trust her again!

Stephanie was great! She immediately engaged with Jovie and handled her extreme “puppiness” with a calm and inviting demeanor. Jovie warmed up to her right away and is already looking forward to their next play date!

Steph takes excellent care of our pups: sent me pics everyday, was very communicative, and even came home to detailed written notes about each day. My girls needs medication twice a day, on time, and Steph was always exact in giving her meds! Very grateful and would highly recommend!

Stephanie kept us well informed of pet happenings while we were out of town for a couple of days. Loved the photos she shared and we felt confident our dogs were getting plenty of care and attention from Steph.
