Information Stephanie L. would like to know about your pet
I want to know anything relevant to making sure your pet's stay with me will be happy and comfortable. For dogs staying in my home: I accept dogs 20 pounds and under. Must be crate trained and dog friendly. Puppies under 1 year do not need to be spayed/neutered, but adult dogs must be. I cannot keep Boston Terriers in my home - my Dachshund had a bad experience with one as a puppy and now he thinks they are all out to get him!
A typical day
I love going on walks, whether it's around the block or at the park. My dog loves playing with toys, learning new tricks and games, and snuggling and I would be happy to do all of those things with your pets! I live on a 60 acre farm with plenty of hiking paths and places to explore with your dogs. My dogs and I walk almost a mile every morning. On bad weather days I invent games to exercise their brains instead of their bodies. Your pet can look forward to a fun time when they stay with me!

Professional Care = Peace of Mind
Pet care experience
I have worked in the pet care industry for 12 years as a groomer and pet care technician in a boarding and daycare facility. I grew up on a farm, taking care of all manner of animals, from bunnies to goats and horses. My family rescued and fostered dogs from the time I was a young girl and I have been petsitting since I was a teenager. I love using my pet care skills to help you and your pets feel more comfortable when you are away. I take your pets well being and safety as seriously as if they were my own. In my free time I enjoy teaching my Dachshund tricks, dance moves and dressing him in silly costumes for my Instagram account. If you would like references regarding my professional history in the pet care industry, please ask! I want you to be confident your pets will be in the best hands while you're away.
Reviews
Stephanie is awesome with dogs, whether she's grooming, walking, pet-sitting, or trick training! She cares for my active pets when I'm away: border collie, basset, and Australian cattle dog. She's great with all dogs, and is very dependable and trustworthy.
Stephanie has taken care of my "senior" corgi several times. She took the time to get to know him, his likes and dislikes, and she let him know she was a friend. He loves her attention and is quite comfortable with her. Stephanie doesn't just come in the door, let him out, and leave. She gives him individual attention, lots of love, and takes him for a good walk. She is a dog person, and she's experienced in handling them!
Stephanie watched our dog for several nights, keeping her at her place while we were away. She sent us updated and pictures, which were fun to receive. Her location offers wide open space for animals to explore and Stephanie made sure our dog had exercise a few times a day. She’s great - I absolutely recommend!
I have worked with Stephanie for 10+ years in the pet care business. Stephanie has a calm demeanor and demonstrates safe handling of pets. She understands dog communication and has worked extensively with Grooming, as well as general pet care. I would recommend Stephanie and would have her care for my pets anyday!
