I prefer to meet the pet and family prior to the family leaving. I always want to make sure the pets are comfortable with me and the family as well knows that their family member is going to be take care of.
A typical day
I love to spoil the pets I am watching. So extra belly rubs and scratches are a must. In addition to working with them to stimulate their mental health. I've been known to (with mom or dad's permission) hide treats to have the animal work for the rewards.

Pet care experience
I have had pets all my life, and still do. I also worked at 2 dog day cares and boarding facilities. I worked the front desk at a vet's office for 2 years. And I did animal rescue for a number of years. I have been working with animals for over 15 years all together. In that time I have had to work with a wide variety of pet personalities. I have sat for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, cats, and the occasional bird, pig, or reptile. I enjoy giving families the peace of mind that their furry family members are in good hands and getting the love and care they are used to while they are away. We were so glad that we chose Stephanie to watch the fur babies while we were gone. It was our first time using Rover and it couldn't have gone better. Stephanie was so experienced and personable that all our fears were gone when we stepped out of the house. The babies loved her. She even allowed them to sleep with her if they wanted to and all 3 did. She sent photos. One of the babies is diabetic and gave her no problems with her giving the shots. She even got my sweet boy into a normal sleeping and eating rhythm, something he has had problems with the last few months. I highly recommend Stephanie.
