I work from home on weekdays. I’d love to take a work break for a walk. Or stop in for a visit after work. I’m around most of the weekend except for regular life activities like errands and sometimes a youth soccer game.

We had Buddy here for 16 years. He was an energetic lab mix who loved snatching food off the counter and eating socks. So we are very careful to keep things out of reach. We have baby gates, lots of space on the main floor (to avoid stairs), and easy access to the fully fenced backyard. I have two children (15 and 13) who grew up with Buddy. Now we have two young cats to play with. They know how to be calm with pets and treat them with respect.

A typical day
I love letting a dog be a dog with tons of exercise and mental stimulation. A tired dog is a good dog. And I have immense respect for cats, understanding they are our overlords and we’re just here to serve. I think it’s important to engage with them and try to get them to play.

Dog and cat owner my entire life, until recently. Cared for pets from kitten and puppy stage to senior stage. Love taking dogs for long walks. Firm believer in slowing down to let them sniff. Love teaching dogs tricks and playing games like fetch and hide n seek. Love snuggling pups and kitties. For boarding, we have a large, fully fenced backyard with lots of grass and shrubs to sniff. Easy access from the kitchen door (with only two small steps down).
