Pet care experience

WFH childfree humans w/ fenced yard

Our entire lives have always been rooted in puppy love. We’ve been active in the foster and rescue community for years-raising our own pups from as young as eight weeks old, supporting our pregnant rescue dog through delivery and whelping, and providing compassionate care for our senior dogs. Our experience includes managing picky eaters, following strict diets, administering medications (including home IV treatments), handling skin care needs, supporting incontinence and reinforcing basic obedience house training and grooming. We’re confident and comfortable caring for dogs with a wide range of needs.

Cooper loves going to Stephanie & Josh’s to see his best friends Vito & Carmine. We couldn’t ask for better care for our pup. He is truly one of the pack, daily updates and fun pics let us know Cooper is well cared for and having fun.

Steph is such a great caretaker not only with her beloved animals but has been a great support with mine. She’s attentive, caring and knows how to ensure your pet is loved, safe and supported. I would highly recommend Steph to help take care of your precious fur babies! She’s great at communicating, planning and overall- responsible.

Schedule

I work full time from home and my husband works outside of the home with a flexible schedule. Our schedules combined ensure that our pups have plenty of time for play, naps and potty breaks. Our pups have supervised access to the main areas of our house and a fully fenced in backyard while we are home and we will always follow your pups routine to keep things comfortable and safe for your pet. When we are away from home we are generally only out for a max of 4 hours, we have plenty of room for your pups kennel and are able to gate off areas to ensure your dog is safe and feels at home. Dogs are allowed on the couches and beds if they like. My flexible schedule allows for drop-in visits for early mornings and after 5pm, mid-day drop-in visits can also be provided too if near the Robbinsdale area, boarding booking we can flexible to fit your needs.

Safety, trust & environment

Our two dogs, Don Vito (2y/o) and Carmine (1y/o) are well socialized with all ages and sizes of dogs, they regularly play with the neighborhood dogs, indoor/outdoor dog park regulars, road trips to friends and family members home with dogs & cats and LOVE going on outings to dog friendly breweries and patios. For first timers, we suggest an intro play date and sniff session at our place to help ensure your pup will feel comfortable at our home, we will only take in dogs from one household at a time to ensure your family member is comfortable while you are away. We’ll share daily photos and video updates, we also have indoor Wyze cameras in the living room and near Carmine’s crate so we can keep a watchful eye on the pups whenever we’re out or overnight. We have a fully fenced in backyard and can crate your dog if needed and follow their crate schedule. We also have baby gates to help keep your dog from the stairs and bedroom areas. One side of our backyard has a lower fence–if your dog is a jumper, they would land in our neighbor’s fence yard, not an open area. Our backyard provides plenty of opportunities for squirrel watching, our Australian Sheppard Blue, used to LOVE chasing them up the tree and into the neighbor’s yard. When the dogs are outside, we keep a close eye on them to help ensure they are safe, happy and have plenty of time to potty. Our pups LOVE to play with toys, Carmine is a heavy chewer so we keep the softer toys separate, he will definitely destroy them

A typical day

A typical week day starts around 6:30a/7a with breakfast for our pups followed by some play time where the dogs play outside with a long potty break. I start working about 8a, our pups then know that is nap time on their couches. At lunch time, we head back outside for play and a walk around the neighborhood, checking for squirrels. We wrap up the workday, M-F around 4pm, our pups have their dinner by 5pm, then there are more walks, toys and playing in the yard. Carmine is still pretty young and will signal to us it's his bedtime around 10pm. On weekends, our pups still have the same eating schedule and we like to take them to parks, dog friendly public places or road trips. While your pups are staying with us we will stick to their normal schedule so they feel at home, Vito and Carmine are very adaptable, except for breakfast and dinner time they don’t like for us to be late with feedings.

Does your dog have separation anxiety or aggression towards other dogs ? Our dogs have not been around dogs that have negative separation anxiety behaviors or aggression, we would avoid them for boarding in our home but happy to help with drop-ins. We would like to know more about their regular routine, feeding schedule and potty schedule, so we can stick to that while they stay with us. Any medications ? Food or treat allergies ? Favorite treats, toys and dog beds are welcome
