Although my career for the past 20 years has been in the mental health field, my passion is also for animals. I did not grow up with dogs, but had many cats, birds, turtles, snakes, and fish. Finally at the age of 34 I adopted my first dog, a pomeranian named Winston. He became the absolute love of my life quickly. I understood why so many people become so bonded with their doggies. Winston was by my side even when humans weren't. I never laughed so hard playing with him all those years and then never cried so hard when he passed recently. I miss him every single day. But feel so blessed to have had him in my life. Although I am not ready to get another dog, I am absolutely looking forward to helping other people with their family pets. I know I was extremely OCD with Winstons care and did not trust many people with him when I had to work or travel. So it means a lot to me to be trusted with your family pet. Plus, I get to have fun doing something that brings me joy!
