I work four days a week in a veterinary clinic providing urgent care. When I accept a pet-sitting booking, I ensure my schedule allows me to fully meet each pet’s needs. All animals in my care receive attentive, reliable care, and I always make an effort to spend extra quality time with them.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, respect, and genuine care. I understand that pets are family, and earning their trust is important to me, especially when entering a home for the first time. I take the time needed to help pets feel comfortable and secure, even if that means spending extra time or allowing for multiple visits to build trust. I truly enjoy spoiling each animal while maintaining consistency with their established routines. I make it a priority to learn and follow each pet’s schedule so they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for just as they are with their family.
Information Stephanie H. would like to know about your pet
When I accept a pet-sitting visit, I take the time to learn as much as possible about each pet’s routine, preferences, and individual needs. This includes understanding their likes and dislikes, anxiety levels, and any medical or physical conditions they may have. My goal is to care for every pet in the same way their owner would, providing consistency, comfort, and reassurance. The more I know about a pet, the better I can help them feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for in my presence.
A typical day
When caring for pets, I tailor my approach to each individual animal and their unique needs. I make it a priority to ask clients about their pet’s favorite activities and routines, and I incorporate those as much as possible to help reduce stress and anxiety. I never rush or force interactions; I allow pets the time they need to feel comfortable, as trust is something that is earned. I genuinely enjoy providing affection through gentle petting, cuddles (when welcomed), and calm companionship. I also love spoiling pets in a thoughtful way while ensuring their routines remain consistent. Animals have always been a central part of my life, and I care for each one as if they were my own.

Pet care experience
I have cared for animals my entire life and chose to make that passion my profession. I am a Registered Veterinary Technician with 20 years of experience and have worked in a veterinary clinic for 21 years. I have hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals, including those with fur, feathers, and scales. I am highly comfortable caring for senior pets, animals with medical conditions, and those with special needs. Administering medications—oral, topical, or injectable—is routine for me. I take pride in providing attentive, compassionate care and truly enjoy spending time with each pet I sit, getting to know their unique personalities. Animals are not just my career—they are my world. My work schedule primary job Monday 7:30am to 6:30 pm Tue-Thu off Friday 1:00 pm to 12:00 am Saturday 10:30 am to 9:30 pm Sunday 9:00 am to 8:00 pm

Stephanie has been fantastic to work. She's been great about communications. She's flexible. And she's got a wealth of knowledge. We felt our cat was in good hands with her. Definitely going to hire her again.
Stepahnie is a great pet sitter. She seems to actually care about and like my dogs. They like her as well. She goes above and beyond my expectations with updates on how they are doing throughout the day. She even has trimmed their nails when I have been too lazy to do it myself. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing a caring person to watch their animals.
I really can't say enough nice things about Stephanie. She's been my pet sitter for several years and I have a house full of pets, including exotics. I have 5 lizards, 8 cats, 4 chihuahuas, a guinea pig, button quail, fish, frogs, isopods, a tarantula, and opae ula shrimp. Basically a zoo. Lol. Most of my animals are rescues, and a few of them are special needs and/or seniors. One cat is diabetic, one has kidney disease, one of my dogs has epilepsy, you name it. Stephanie takes care of all of them! I am very particular when it comes to my animals and their care too. Stephanie is an RVT (vet tech) so she can handle anything. One dog has very troublesome anal glands as well, which Stephanie will express for me. The lizards all have different diets too, so needless to say the instructions for my menagerie of pets is extensive! 😆 My animals love having her over and Stephanie knows them well since I travel every 3-4 months. Stephanie has keys to my house, that is how trustworthy she is. She has also trimmed my best friend's pups nails. She's been a vet tech for many years, so she's extremely competent and knowledgeable. She's also an animal lover! You couldn't ask for a better pet sitter. 🙂
I highly recommend Stephanie H. as a pet sitter. Steph and I worked together in a veterinary office, which is how I first learned that she also provides overnight pet sitting. She has been caring for my dogs for many years, always staying in my home overnight so they can remain comfortable in their own environment. In the past, Steph cared for my very senior Cocker spaniel who required multiple medications and frequent potty breaks. She took exceptional care of him, giving me complete peace of mind while I was out of town. Now she looks after my unruly younger dogs with the same patience, skill, and dedication. Steph communicates daily with photos and updates, which I truly appreciate, and I trust her completely with my fur babies. Her veterinary background, reliability, and genuine love for animals make her an outstanding pet sitter.
