Pet care experience
My idea of heaven is a day for the dogs. I take the time to actually sit and play with a dog. Whether that means just being still and snuggling or going out to the park to play, I work at the dog's energy level and with his or her personality type. I have worked with dogs in shelters, those in aggression re-training, and scaredy pups as well as the perpetually pleasant and high energy types. Each dog has its own personality, and it's important to pay attention to it so that each dog can have a good day. Most of my experience is with larger dogs (over 50 pounds,) and I have a special soft spot for bully breeds and other guard types. All dogs deserve love and fun, and traditional guard breeds are no exception! Currently taking on recurring clients for Monday-Wednesday-Friday!

Stephanie was amazing! She sent multiple pictures of my dog throughout the day. I was really worried about how my fear aggressive dog would behave while I was away, but Stephanie eased my anxiety. She worked really well with my dog and was very patient to him warming up to her. I 100% trust her with my pup & would HIGHLY reccomend her to other dog owners.

Stephanie is terrific! Our Rhodesian Ridgeback loved her and all the fun things she did with him. We got lots of photos and texts each day, so we really knew how he was doing. Would definitely have her help again.

When meeting a dog I will be sitting, I like to know what their favorite treats are, if they have special potty preferences, and how they do with other dogs. The commands they know are also an important part of our time together. For instance, for some, "down" means to get off of a person, others the command is "off." Another great example of discrepancies are "paw" and "shake." I want to make sure I work with your dog on his or her terms.
A typical day
We take walks in your own neighborhood! If your neighborhood isn't safe for walks, I will pick up your pooch to an agreed upon place to get their exercise. For dogs I am sitting, I will look for green spaces for your dog to get exercise. In the Mountain View area, I enjoy Redwood Grove Preserve, Rengstorff Park, and Cuesta Park. Strolling around downtown is fun in the mornings when everything is still quiet.
