Information Stephanie E. would like to know about your pet
What do they like? What do they dislike? How often do they eat? How much? Do they go for walks? How many? How far? How often do they need potty breaks? Where do they go potty? Do I need to clean up poo and where do I dispose of it? Do they have a favorite toy or game? Are they afraid of anything? Who’s your vet? Is there an emergency vet nearby? I’ve never needed one (knock on wood) but it’s good to know! Where’s their food? Food dish? Water dish? Do they get treats? Where do you keep treats? How’s their energy level? Do they take medication? Where their medication is? Do they like to pets or scratches? If they’re small or a cat, do they like to be held? Where do they sleep? Are they aloud on all of the furniture or in the bed? Do they like other dogs or cats? Are they reactive? Where are they most comfortable? Do they try to escape? Do they like to cuddle?
A typical day
I get up at 5 and greet the babies then I take them outside if they go outside for potty breaks, not cats unless they can go outside. Then I feed them breakfast and we play or cuddle or go for a walk, whatever your fur baby is in the mood for! I feed them lunch if it’s in the schedule and more playing or cuddling. Outside breaks throughout the day. If they go on multiple walks we’ll go for another walk. Then dinner and more cuddles! Maybe another walk and some more play. Then wind down and get ready for bed! We’ll have a great time! If they’re low energy then we cuddle a lot and go out for potty breaks. Lots of love and attention!

I have always been an animal lover.
Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm. I have been around all types of animals my whole life. I have had dogs since I can remember. I have been a dog owner for about 37years, a cat owner for 18. I have had compassion and empathy for animals my entire life. I am an avid animal rights advocate. I have fostered. I have two rescue animals. A dog and a cat. I also have a friendly people loving chihuahua, which is unusual for their breed, but I believe it's how you raise an animal rather than the stereotypical traits that determine their temperament. I have watched animals for friends and family and recently for a coworker of my husband. I enjoyed the experience so much that I decided I would love to do it professionally. I am knowledgable about dog and cat behavior and mentality. I don't believe in punishment only positive reinforcement, and in the humane treatment of all animals. I love meeting new animals and interacting with them wherever that may be, it always brings me joy. I have been a stay at home Mom for 20 years and since my children are getting older I have much more extra time on my hands. I don't work so I have a lot more free time so I can be available when others might not be. I can focus all of my attention on your animal or animals. I can't stand when people say things like "it's just a dog " or cat. They are not just our animals they are our family to some our children. I protect my animals just as I do my children and would treat yours the same and protect them as I would my own. I would find out what you're dog likes doing the most, what they don't like or are afraid of, what precautions I should take, where you take them and if you don't have a preference would find the safest route to walk or if any parks are in the area we could walk to if you want me to exercise them. If I come into your house I would treat it with the utmost respect and only go in areas that are designated to me by you and only handle things that have to do with your animal or animals. I understand that it is a great responsibility and privilege be trusted to be in someone's home while they aren't there and will do everything in my power to make you feel comfortable with me being there. It's your house I take that very seriously. I also understand every animal is different. Just like us they all have differing personalities. Some are goofy and playful and some are shy or afraid. I would be empathetic to their needs, whatever they may be. You can always meet me and make sure I'm a good fit for you. If I am, great, if not, that's okay too. You should be comfortable with the person taking care of your furry family members. Since I wrote this my two dogs and 3 cats passed! I took a break for a few years after my dogs passed! It was a very difficult time. I now have two kitties and my children are all grown up. I don’t work outside of Rover so I still have plenty of time to take care of your babies and I can be very flexible! I’ve always wanted to take care of animals so this is my absolute dream job! I will protect them with everything I have and make them feel safe and loved! Thank you!😊

Reviews

Stephanie was fantastic. She showed up right on time, followed the doggy schedule to a T, was great with communication and sent lots of doggy photos. She also left the house spotless. Have already booked her again!

Stephanie was a great communicator and treated our pet and home as if they were her own! Will definitely rebook with her in the future.

Stephanie is amazing! She was so communicative and sent regular updates for every meal and for walks, including pics! No one had any complaints when I got home and seemed relaxed and happy! One of my dogs is shy and anxious but Stephanie took the time to let him warm up to her and ease his anxiety. My shy cat was even sleeping in the bed with her before she left! The house looked great when we got back and she stayed until just before we got home. Zero complaints, only compliments! Everyone loved her time here with us!

Stephanie is very nice and communicative!
