I am a freelance dog trainer with CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) and KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) certifications, and my day job is at home. I train and compete in dog sports. I have owned dogs since I was a kid and started geeking out dog behavior and reward based training more than 15 years ago. I have a safe home for your dog to stay for the day. I work from home so your dog will be with me all day, but note I do work 8-5 and have meetings and deadlines. Your dog gets to be my assistant while I do my work. If you need help with dog care during the workday, send me a message.

Stephanie is amazing! I first met her for a training session when Pumpkin had just come home, and I felt so relieved when she patiently taught me helpful tricks and reassured me he was just being a puppy. That experience made me trust her right away. Pumpkin also had a wonderful time boarding with Stephanie and her sweet, calm dog Carousel. I want the best for him, and although I used to worry he might make a mess at a boarder’s home because he’s still a puppy, I feel completely at ease leaving him with someone so experienced. So glad I found her on Rover. Highly recommend!
Holly always has such a fun time with Stephanie and her dogs! Stephanie is so attentive and responsive and very patient with my anxious girl. I feel completely relaxed knowing she is in such good hands.

Holly had such a great day of day care with Stephanie. After a great meet and greet I could just tell that Holly would have such a safe, fun and relaxing stay at Stephanie’s while we were gone for the day. Couldn’t recommend more!
Stephanie was a wonderful find and we highly recommend her. From our first conversation, I felt that Jasper would be well cared for. We met prior to making a commitment to ensure that we and our dogs would be a good fit. Stephanie had a great plan on how to safely integrate Jasper into her home. Jasper has separation anxiety, and she understood the importance of following the plan we have in place to keep him under threshold. Stephanie also provided me with a resource about SA. Stephanie prepared a frozen Kong for Jasper each day. He got to 'work' with her at her desk and she even introduced him to some light agility. She is responsive (I loved receiving the pictures and updates on Jasper's day), flexible, and kind. It is evident how much she genuinely loves and cares about the well-being of her dogs and mine. I can tell Jasper felt safe and loved. He was excited to see her every morning and wasn't in a rush to get in the car at pick up time. Jasper will be back. Two paws way up!!
The best! Dash had another wonderful visit. I can see how much he loves Stephanie and it warms my heart - he is usually so timid but not with her! See you soon :-)

Schedule
Schedule; I work full time at home Monday through Friday. Pickup must be before 6pm, except Wednesdays. Pickup must be before 4pm on Wednesdays. Your dog will be part of my family while they are here. Sorry, no overnight boarding at this time.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard, safe neighborhood, and a dog-behavior oriented background with professional reinforcement-based training certifications to keep your dog safe and engaged for the day. I do have dogs of my own. If your dog is comfortable, we can let them mingle. If they aren’t, I can keep them separated. I am experienced in behavior and body language to know the difference, and also respect you and your dog’s wishes. I can only take one at a time unless two are from the same family and are not used to being separated. I will not be able to take more than two dogs.

A typical day
Your dog will have a safe place during the day where I will be with them all day long. Activity will likely be limited to the backyard. Any short walks will be an additional fee.
