Since both my partner and I work from home, pet care is naturally built into our daily routine. We’re home throughout the day, which means your pup will never be left alone for long stretches. Walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks are part of the rhythm of our household, and our kids love being involved too. Because we’re around so much, we can keep a close eye on feeding schedules, potty breaks, and any special needs your dog may have. Our own pets, Ivy and Marley, also make sure there’s plenty of interaction and companionship. Caring for animals has always been a part of our lives, so welcoming another dog into our daily routine feels like second nature.

Safety, trust & environment

In our home, pets are cared for just like family. Since we don’t have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised — dogs go out on a long leash for playtime, potty breaks, and fresh air. This way, they’re safe while still getting plenty of exercise and stimulation. Inside, they’re welcomed into our daily family routine with lots of love, play, and attention. My goal is always to make your pet feel comfortable, secure, and cared for, whether they’re in my home or in their own.

Information Stephanie & Curtis J. would like to know about your pet

Before welcoming a new pup into our home, I like to learn as much as possible about their personality and routine so I can make them feel comfortable. Since we have young children, it’s very important that any dogs staying with us are kid-friendly and comfortable around a family environment. I’d also love to know: How your dog does with other dogs (we have our small dog, Ivy). Whether they’ve been around cats before (our cat Marley is friendly and respectful, but it helps to know). Their usual routine (feeding times, walks, naps). Any special needs, quirks, or favorite comforts that will help them settle in. How they do on leash and whether they enjoy walks or outdoor play. The more I know about your pup’s personality, the better I can make their stay feel like home.

A typical day

A typical day in our home is filled with a mix of play, relaxation, and plenty of love. Since both my partner and I work from home, we’re able to give lots of attention throughout the day. Morning usually starts with a walk or some outdoor time on a long leash, followed by breakfast and a cozy rest. Throughout the day, there are play sessions with toys, cuddles, and time spent hanging out with our kids, Ivy (our little dog), and Marley (our friendly cat). For dogs who enjoy it, we’ll go on neighborhood walks or explore local trails for a change of scenery. In the evenings, we wind down together as a family, with pups welcome to join us for snuggles or quiet time. Every dog is different, so we tailor activities to what your pet enjoys most — whether that’s running, playing fetch, learning a new trick, or just soaking up affection.

Stephanie and Curtis did a great job looking after Josie. They were easy to communicate with and sent lots of updates. I can tell Josie loved her time with the kids too.

Stephanie is one of the best dog sitters I've ever had! She is a true dog lover and will treat your pet like it's her own. Your dog is in great hands with Stephanie!
