Although I haven't had a dog or cat of my own, I've taken care of my cousin's dog and my roommate's cats, and the biggest lesson I've learned from that experience is how important it is to build trust with an animal before anything else. I always take time to let a pet get comfortable with me at their own pace, whether that means a calm introduction, letting them sniff around and get used to my presence, or simply being patient before jumping into walks or play. I stay attentive throughout each visit, watching for any signs of discomfort or anxiety, and adjust my approach based on what each pet needs. Your pet's safety and comfort always come first with me.

Pet care experience
I didn't grow up with pets of my own, but I've spent plenty of time around animals through roommates' cats and my family's dog, so I'm very comfortable with their routines, quirks, and needs. I know my way around feeding schedules, litter box upkeep, and just generally reading an animal's mood. What I'm most excited about, though, is walking! I'm an avid walker myself, and there's nothing better than having a dog's company along the way. If you're looking for someone who'll give your pup a great, active walk and genuine attention, that's exactly what I'm here for :)
