Information Stephanie B. would like to know about your pet

I would like to have a very good understanding about what your dog likes, whether they play well with others, their feeding schedule, do they stay close or like to wander? How often have they been away from you and how were those experiences. What types of activities do you feel comfortable having them do (swimming, hiking, bones, treats, etc.)? Are they kenneled when apart from you and if so, could you bring their special kennel? Any toys, blankets, etc. That make them feel safe.

A typical day

We will play ball, frisbee, go swimming, and hiking. Then we will come home and have a very much needed nap on a cozy dog bed or even the couch. If your dog is older, shorter walks will be provided. We have a fairly decent size house with access to all the furniture, and plenty of spaces for their special bed. Your dog will have access to a dog door and large outside area all day long, supervised for the escape artists. And if they need to go out in the night, I am on it!

Pet care experience

All dogs are sentient beings with individual needs. The love they give us is so unique and they are a delight to be around. Each and every dog I've had the pleasure of sharing time with has taught me a great deal about unconditional love and the simple joy of being alive. As a dog mom since I was 12 years old, I know how it is to put your trust into someone with your beloved pets. That is why I take the time to treat your animals the way I treat my own, giving them the best experience they could ever have while being away from their family. Whether it be going on long hikes in the woods, swimming in lakes or rivers, playing ball, or just cozying up on the couch, it will be an experience they will be happy to return to again and again. They will also have plenty of time to socialize and play with others of their kind. Of course, if your dog is older or has special needs, they will be made very comfortable and happy. I only prefer to accept a couple of dogs at a time, which means more one on one interaction and not so overwhelming. Our home is located on 20 acres only 15 minutes from Sandpoint, ID. We are at the very end of a dirt road about 2 miles in from the paved road, so we do not get traffic nearby. Your dogs will be free here to roam about with other dogs and I will walk them or ride bikes with them from our home at least 2 times per day. First thing in the morning and at least one more time before bed. Sometimes I will take them 3 or 4 times, depending on the energetic needs of your dog(s). I have heard dog camp, dog paradise, a dog resort from different customers. Thank you for considering us as your dog care when you may need it.

I was grateful for Stephanie for last minute dog sitting. I had been hoping to have someone walk Leo from our home but given distance of travel she suggested I bring him by instead. As he was recouping from an injury and I hadn't realized her yard wasn't fenced she was accommodating and kept him on leash while he was out and about. Her own and other visiting dogs seemed very happy and easygoing with other dogs
