My approach would be to try to provide structure to the animals while following the rules and preferences of the clients. I've found my own dog is the happiest when provided efficient stimulation, so I would want to provide that for any pets I was sitting.

Long walks, dog park visits, learning tricks, and lots of cuddling! I believe in matching the energy and activity needs of the dog(s) I'm watching! Tell me what their favorite thing is to do, I'll find a way to put it in the schedule!
