I'm a stay at home mom. I have a big enough home to comfortably suite up to 11 dogs. A good size yard, plenty of space. A lot of extra time to start helping care for pets aside from my own dogs. .

Information Steph A. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog have any special needs, take any medication? What would make your dog happy and content during it's stay? Is there a specific schedule that I should follow to keep the dog on?
A typical day
I like to play games with the dogs, fetch, throw the Frisbee, etc . Also run around the yard. Possibly go to the park for some exercise.

Pet care experience
I've had dogs ever since I was 14. I've dog sat for family and friends. Walking, feeding, playing. I have worked for a dog walking company which I had the pleasure of working with dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, etc.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with this sitter. As others here have said, I was messaged to pick up my dog Luna 3 days into the stay when I was out of state on Christmas Eve, with no context to the message. After asking some questions I was told my dog bit the sitter with no explanation as to what happened. My dog has been boarded many many times, with numerous rover sitters her entire life of 8 years with no reports of aggression. She’s stayed with large groups of dogs, cats, kids, and has always gotten the feedback that she is a sweetheart. I’m not sure what happened in Steph’s house but I know Luna must’ve been HIGHLY stressed for such an event to occur. I didn’t have a good feeling about it from the start. There were many dogs that were all released at once and allowed to bombard Luna, without any proper greeting/meeting practices which was the first red flag. I have many more things I could add that made me uncomfortable leaving my dog here, but I didn’t have a backup plan at the time, and I don’t want to be rude in my other thoughts of the stay conditions. But I fully regret not trusting my gut, and leaving my dog in such a chaotic environment that now has caused there to be a reason to say anything negative about her. I will also say the sitter fed my dog random food that I didn’t supply that caused her to have terrible diarrhea, vomiting, and refused to eat even a single bite for a full 4 days after picking her up. I wanted this to be a situation that worked out like the many very positive reviews here, even though I saw the other reviews that stated similar experiences to mine. But I figured it wouldn’t happen to me as my dog has never been problematic in any sitter setting before. Anyway after having to go through the process of having an open investigation with rover for the first time ever, this was my one and only awful experience using the app.
Steph provided daily photos of my happy dog, allowing me to enjoy our vacation while knowing she was well care for.
