Individualized Care Is My Thing
Dog sitting professionally has turned into something beyond what I imagined. This work has become my favorite place to give individualized care, something near and dear to my heart having lived through a rare experience at such a naïve and vulnerable age. I lost my twin brother at eight weeks old. I was left with identity trauma, who am I without my twin and a unique POV, seeing the world through the eyes of a baby: everything is energy. Infants communicate through energy and gestures, what a pooch always does, and lack experience verbalizing their thoughts, feelings, etc.... Since I started dog sitting independently, I realized why I loved pooches so much: they understood this part of me. Because of their eagerness to receive individualized care from me and my openness to receive their love and then mirror back a happier me, that they are keen to mirror back to me, and practicing this over and over again, I dealt with the loss of my twin and became a genuinely happy person. Plus, I ended up cultivating a skill that has become second nature. I love to see how much joy the dogs and I can stand together when I care for them; which makes me best suited for staying with dogs in their homes while their people are away. Witnessing the pooches I look after happy with the care that I give them and their human family happy, too, is my pleasure! Plus, I enjoy sharing daily updates, especially through a picture that highlights what makes the dogs I stay with one-of-a-kind.

I curated questions to ask about your pooch(es) and house rules, so I am equipped with the information I need to make you and your canine(s) happy and build a trusting relationship with your household.

Once again, Stella has exceeded my expectations in caring for my sweet pup and my home. I was out of the country in an extended stay and Stella’s updates and photos were so reassuring. She is such an incredibly warm and intuitive person, I have full trust in leaving my most cherished little girl with her.

Another fantastic housesitting stay for our 15 month old dog, Bettina! Stella is super responsible and personable, and, importantly, keeps our active dog busy. Our house looked much cleaner than we left it, and we received detailed notes and photos. Bettina was wild with affection when Stella arrived. I think that says it all!!
Stella was absolutely wonderful in every way. She adored Lola and was very attentive to her needs and schedule. She was also very organized and got lots of input before I left to go out of town. She sent great pictures and updates, which put me right at ease. We will be booking Stella again, for sure!
Stella did a wonderful job taking kind care of our high energy dog for the weekend! She provided updates and photos, and even took her on excursions. We would definitely hire her again.

Schedule
I set aside an average of two weeks per month for staying with pooches in their homes; sometimes more in the summer and sometimes less in the months when people don’t leave AZ as much. I spend more time in my client’s abode than anywhere else on the days I am dog sitting; the canines I look after get quality time with me morning, afternoon, and evening and the choice to sleep with me or not, depending on their parents' preference.
