I have a variety of animal experience, ranging from reptiles to horses and cows! I’ve owned cats my entire life, as well as taking care of neighbors/families/friends dogs for the past 6 years. Throughout highschool I worked closely with horses whether that be riding or interning at a horse barn. Additionally, I’ve taken 3 years of animal science courses including earning my Veterinary Assisting Certification. This has provided me with a multitude of hands on experience with animals of all sizes and ages, including senior animals and animals needing close medical care; I have experience administering medication to a variety of animals. While studying animal science at Penn state I am gaining more classroom/hands on experience with large animals through my coursework and club involvement. Lastly, this summer I am working as a Kennel tech where I am in charge of caring for and playing with a range of dogs simultaneously.
