Availability
AVAILABILITY UPDATE from OCT 2025: I have Mondays - Fridays as well as the weekends fully available for dog walks and pet drop ins. Fridays 3pm - Sun 12pm are available for pet sits unless it's a public holiday like xmas/new year. Then I often have additional availability. I get booked up super fast, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. I might be able to offer cat/bunny sits if they can be left for 4-6hrs weekdays. Weekend sits, walks & drop ins offered in Histon, central Cambridge, and occasional weekends in Wider London. I take bookings 1-2 months or less in advance. If you're located outside main Cambridge, there will be an additional fee to cover bus/train/taxi tickets. Please note that I do not have a car and use public transport to pick up/visit pets. The sitting rates are only partly set. At times and depending on the pet's needs I can adjust the cost slightly downwards. - Pawsitive Poppins Pet Care

I currently don't offer boarding and having pets at my place. Before looking after your pet, I like to meet up prior to agreeing for the sit/walk if possible to get to know them and know where I can find items needed. If in exception cases no meeting is possible due to short notice requests or me being away, I offer video calls. I offer to send photos and video snippets and always keep an eye on anything that might be wrong to keep the owner informed. Pets are left with plenty of water and the diet the owner wrote down. Happy to also water your plants while you're away! :)

Please let me know of the dog's personality and any health problems he might have. If he is a large dog, he needs to have especially good leash manners. Equally, I want to hear about possible triggers, reactions, and quirks to expect.
A typical day
I love to give your dog a variety of experiences. Play, cuddles, giving them time to smell, but also teach or improve their skills and have them walk nicely. If your dog is fine off leash and has good recall, social time and play with other dogs can be included as well as retrieving balls etc to tire them out. I offer group walks of 2-4 dogs if they all live in the same area and are walking well on the leash.

Please check my pet sit details! I'm available to look after your dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, alpacas, chickens, tortoises, goats, pigs, & co. Over 20 years of experience in puppy raising, obedience and trick training, and working with different dog breeds. I have also worked with and trained chickens, rabbits, and horses. Calm, patient, fun activities, and lots of cuddles. First Aid for pets, enhanced DBS, and insured. I grew up with dogs and have cared for them from a young age. I helped raise puppies from birth, trained them, taught them tricks, and have taken them on many adventures. I love the outdoors so even in rain I'll be out for long walks. I have looked after other's dogs many times while the owners were at work or on vacation and they all have a special place in my heart and I'm getting sad when it's time to leave newly won furry friends but also happy seeing all the progress they've made and all the memories. I have had the opportunity to work with a large variety of breeds and ages and so have experience with lively aussies, stubborn cockers, sweet staffies, playful retrievers, velcro doodles, dogs with separation anxiety, and many more.

Stella was very friendly and professional. She took the time to visit the dogs beforehand, which was much appreciated as one my dogs is nervous. The dogs seemed very comfortable in her presence.
Stella took excellent care of our pets, and sent me lovely photos of them while we were away. She was obviously keen to get to know each of them individually and give them individual attention, which was lovely. She was also very easy to contact and communicate with.
Stella was amazing with our senior dog. She took great care of her and tended to her old doggy needs perfectly. Plenty of great pics where sent to make us feel better about being away from our doggy. She was a perfect guest while house sitting. We hope she is free for all our future dog care.
Stella is a lovely person and great with my doggy. My pooch really liked her :-) Will definitely be booking her again.
