Your peace-of-mind pet sitter
I have a wide range of experience with pet care, from pet sitting since I was a teenager to working in veterinary clinics and emergency care hospitals throughout high school and college. I am confident with dogs and cats of any size, breed, and age. Thanks to my experience in vet clinics, I am familiar with providing medication topically, orally, and nasally with both dogs and cats. On a personal note, I have cared for my own geriatric pets - my childhood golden retriever and several senior kitties. Pets that require dedicated care and frequent medical attention hold a special place in my heart. I have raised puppies and kittens and am happy to supplement training and treat distribution/reward systems as directed by the pet owner. I believe that pet owners deserve peace of mind because there is nothing more stressful than leaving a beloved pet in the care of another - especially if that person is not a familiar. As a pet sitter, I strive to earn the respect of not only my client but their pet(s) as well. It is a privilege and an honor to be entrusted with your fur babies. If you have special requirements or behavioral notes for your pet(s), I am happy to discuss them with you and ensure that you're selecting the best individual for their care! *My husband, Brandon, may join me for walks that are early or late in the day for safety’s sake. If that is anticipated, I will communicate with my clients ahead of time and confirm that they are comfortable with the circumstance. If pets are uncomfortable with a male, I am happy to adjust!

When caring for pets in another's home, I follow the house rules, respect property, and aim to sustain schedules. For example, removing shoes while in the home, keeping pet care items in designated spots, staying with the pet if they go out into the yard for play or potty, following a training regimen, kenneling before leaving, etc. If you have specific requests for me, I am happy to discuss them with you in advance!

If you are looking for the best Rover(s) in KC - look no further. Steffney and Brandon are absolutely lovely - great people and treat the pets entrusted to them as their own! They helped transport and look after our golden retriever, Willow, on the day of my wedding so that she could be present for photos after our ceremony. They were communicative, timely, SO kind, and Willow was so comfortable with them that she even fell asleep in their car on the ride home. I highly, highly recommend them!! 😊❤️
Steffney was so wonderful. She handled my moody dog really well. She sent me frequent pictures and updates. Everything was perfect. I'm so thankful she was available so I could be out of town and still have peace of mind that my dog would be OK. My dog is a little extra, and she handled it really well. Thank you so much!
We couldn’t have asked for a greater pet sitter for our weekend getaway! Our cat, Midna, was recently diagnosed with diabetes and I was SO nervous about leaving her for a weekend. Steffney was able to test her blood sugar and administer her insulin shots with ease! Steffney also took the time to play with the kitties and sent me plenty of pictures. Communication was prompt and she was able to accept a last minute change in reservations without any issues. I am so thankful to have found Steffney and will absolutely rebook with her for any future trips we take!
Our puppy dog is so well cared for by Steffney. She is totally reliable and dedicated to making sure our puppy is loved on, properly fed and happily played with during her visits. Best decision we ever made was finding Steffney to care for our puppy dog!
Steffney exceeded all of my expectations! First she made connection with our puppy dog while massaging his ears, holding his face, speaking kindly to him and maintaining eye contact with him. Steffney continued engaging our puppy in outdoor playful fun, running with him in our fenced yard and all the while talking to him. He loved it! At lunchtime, Steffney followed every step in mixing our dog's special prescription meal. Steffney was energetic, focused, attentive, and very interactive with our puppy during our drop-in visit. I loved that Steffney spoke to our dog all during her time with him even as she was leaving. Steffney is Five Stars in every way!
Steff is AMAZING!! She has taken such sweet care for our two kitties everytime we left to go out of town or needed support. Being that Steff is a cat/dog owner herself, she knows animals and has this innate ability where pets just seams to trust her and feel her love & kindness. She always sent me check ins when she was there, with pictures too! Her communication was awesome and I always knew my fur babies were in good hands. Highly recommend!

Programa
I am available most weekends, weekdays after 6pm, and occasional weekdays during work hours (see below for more info). I am not available on Mondays. I work full time Monday-Friday; however, I do WFH one day a week, which affords me additional flexibility for care requests during work hours. For any weekday requests I would like a weeks notice so that I can schedule that WFH day in advanced notice. Thank you!
