Steffs' Cat Nip and Naps
Hi! I'm Steff and I am happily owned by a very bossy, 13 year old tuxedo girl. She is called Tobi. I also have a corn snake, Trixie, who is a magnificent 20 years old. I've always had cats, and I just love them. I've often looked after family and friends cats and other animals when they're away. I work from home most of the time, and work with disabled children's services so I have an enhanced DBS. In my spare time I lift weights, pc game, paint and draw and I am into alternative music (metal, industrial etc). I'm looking forward to meeting lots of beautiful fur babies, and hoping to combine it with making some extra pennies to continue putting toward Tobi's hyperthyroidism treatments. I am patient and understand some cats want fuss and some cats are scared - I will give cats time and space to come to me if they want to, and try to be as minimally intrusive if they are scared. Tobi has hyperthyroidism and I am used to giving her oral medication daily. I am happy to give medication to your cats, even those who require a firmer helping hand to take tablets etc. I have previously stepped in to take a cat to animal hospital after eating a toy, and recognise the signs of illness. I am happy to give regular updates, and most of the time, I can drop by in an emergency if anything changes.

Safety, trust & environment
I have always had and looked after cats and like to think i am experienced enough to know how to safely and calmly approach them and help them feel safe. I know signs of illness/concerns and I will always endeavour to treat your cat the same way I would want my fur baby to be treated. I am confident to give oral medications, and not scared of cats who hiss or are afraid of me.

My cat was recovering from an operation, so it meant a lot to know someone kind and trustworthy could be with him while I was at work. Steefa came and looked after him — and all the other cats — for four days in a row, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was so gentle and caring, and it was clear she genuinely loves animals
Steffany was absolutely amazing with our trio of pets and made our stay away as relaxing as it could have been as we didn't need to worry once about them! With regular updates and pictures, our tortoise, rattie and hamster were well looked after, fussed and fed and we'd use her again in a heart beat!

Schedule
I work remotely so I am usually home based. I drive and have a relatively flexible work pattern. This makes popping out for visits easy to fit into my day around breakfast, lunch and dinner times. If you're happy and want me to, I can even set up to work from your home for the day - but please discuss this with me prior to booking.
