Safety, trust & environment
Boarding and daycare will take place in my single-family home. For dog/puppy sitting, if your dog is up to date with all vaccines and veterinary health checks, I have two very friendly dogs to keep your pup company. I also have crates with comfy crate pads for your pup to leisure if needed. You may choose to bring your own bedding or toys, however, I can provide bedding and toys as well. For your pet’s health, I wash all bedding and toys with bleach between visits or after an accident has occurred. I offer multiple walks per day, depending on your dog’s needs. In addition, I can offer vigorous play times or just allow your dog to rest on the couch. I will offer, but never force, a dog to engage in these activities. I will follow your dog’s body language to determine what is appropriate. For cat/kitten sitting, I have multiple options for housing and containment. If your cat is friendly, fixed, and up to date with all vaccines and health checks, your cat may roam freely in the house. I have large and medium cat trees placed around the home for your cat’s comfort. If your cat is extremely nervous, or is unfixed or unvaccinated, I also have a two-level large enclosure that can fit two medium to large cats, a large litter box, bedding, toys, food, and water. This type of enclosure is recommended for very nervous cats that need quiet and feel safe in small spaces. I also have a spare bedroom and a bathroom that I can use to keep your cat separated, depending on your cat’s comfort level. If your cat is a nervous urinator, I may recommend keeping your feline(s) in the large enclosure or in the bathroom for hygienic reasons. I offer a daily or twice daily playtime for your feline, which may include puzzle feeders, chasing lasers, and wand toys. If your pet has special needs or requirements, please let me know in advance. I am able to handle most special needs, including but not limited to delivering medications, delivering subcutaneous fluids, offering specialized meals/foods (provided by pet owner), avoiding triggering allergies, or offering assistance to animals with disabilities (blind, deaf, seniors, missing appendage, etc.). I am able to accommodate most requests within reason, however, please give advance notice regarding special needs or requests so that I may prepare for them accordingly. Last thing that I want to note is that I will only use positive reinforcement with your pet. I will not use choke collars, shock collars, or pet deterrents of any kind with any of your animals. Our home is a loving and compassionate environment for your pet.

Information Stefanie O. would like to know about your pet
PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU BOOK Stefanie Ohlmann is a pet care service provider in the South Florida area. REQUIREMENTS I require that your pet’s profile be up-to-date with (1) current picture(s) of your pet, (2) the name, address, and phone number of your pet’s veterinarian, (3) friendliness of your pet with people and animals, (4) a record of vaccinations and a health care check with a veterinarian within the last year, (5) feeding schedule and food preferences. HEALTH AND SAFETY For the health and safety of all animals in my care, I do not accept boarding or daycare requests for dogs that are not current on their vaccinations or for intact (unneutered) male dogs. Cats that are not current on their vaccinations or are not spayed or neutered may be accepted on a case-by-case basis. However, they will be housed separately in a secure kennel and will not be permitted to roam freely throughout my home or interact with other animals in my care. DAYCARE Daycare is an 8 hour or less, daytime boarding pet-sitting service. Any daycare request longer than 8 hours will be adjusted to a regular “boarding” rate. The current boarding rate and daycare rate are listed in my bio. The earliest that I can accommodate the start of daycare is 8:00 am. The latest that I can accommodate the end of daycare is 7:00pm. Any daycare reservation with a drop-off request earlier than 8:00 am, or with a pick up request later than 7:00pm, is subject to an additional service fee of a half-day of daycare. HOUSE SITTING My house sitting fee includes a 12 hour per day stay in your home and two 1/2 hour drop-ins during the other 12 hours that I am not staying in your home. A typical house sitting looks like this: 10:00am to 10:30am drop-in, 2:30pm to 3:00pm drop-in, 7:00pm to 7:00am overnight stay, for 13 hours total. During my stay, I do not leave the premises except for dog walks and emergencies. I will, however, eat dinner, use your restroom, and sleep during the overnight stay. SPECIAL REQUESTS If your pet has special care, requirements, or needs, please let me know in advance so that I can prepare myself for the visit with your pet. EMERGENCIES If your pet is terminally ill or at a high risk of loss of life, please refer to Rover’s policies. It is extremely RARE, but emergencies do happen, even for healthy animals. I am committed to making the best choices for the health and wellness of your animal. Please make sure to provide emergency vet information and emergency contact information when you are booking an appointment. REGARDING REDUCED COST PET CARE I do not provide free or significantly reduced cost pet care. Being a kitten foster means that I am trained to handle difficult health problems, should it occur during your pet’s visit. It does not mean that I will provide free housing for your pets during a difficult financial crisis. It also does not mean that I will house extremely difficult, feral, unfriendly, aggressive, or potentially dangerous animals in my home. If you find yourself in a situation where you can not provide housing, food, or water for your furry loved ones, please contact Broward County Animal Control or the Broward County Humane Society. In some cases, they may be able to provide resources to assist you and your pets. CHANGES TO TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND FEES Terms, conditions, and fees are subject to change at any time, with or without prior notice. Pet sitting rates are customized based on each pet's individual needs, level of care, and the services requested. As a result, rates may be higher or lower than those listed on my Rover profile or website. Pet sitting fees may be discussed and agreed upon by both parties before payment is made for services. I reserve the right to decline or cancel pet sitting services if a pet's care requirements, medical needs, behavioral concerns, or other information affecting the level of care are not fully disclosed before payment is made or before services begin. INDEMNIFICATION To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Pet Sitter from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, and reasonable attorney's fees arising out of or related to: The Client's failure to disclose accurate or complete information regarding the pet's health, vaccinations, medications, behavior, bite history, or special care needs; Any injury, illness, damage, loss, or death caused by the Client's pet to any person, animal, or property, except to the extent caused by the Pet Sitter's gross negligence or willful misconduct; Any escape, injury, illness, or damage resulting from defective equipment, including collars, harnesses, leashes, crates, gates, or fencing supplied by the Client; Any violation of applicable laws, lease agreements, homeowners' association rules, or other obligations by the Client that affects the provision of pet sitting services. The Client remains financially responsible for any veterinary care, emergency treatment, property damage, or other expenses incurred as a result of the Client's pet's actions or undisclosed conditions. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to waive any rights or protections available to either party under applicable law or under Rover's Terms of Service.

Customized & loving care for all
Pet care experience
*Ask me about Rabbit or other small animal pet sitting!* I have been caring for animals since the age of 16, when I had my first job caring for rats in an animal behavior clinic at Broward College. Since then, I have volunteered and worked with a variety of animals at the Palm Beach Zoo and at various wildlife conservation and rescue shelters. I currently have two dogs and several cats with my husband. They are all friendly with new animals visitors and up to date with the vaccines and health care checks. Being with animals has been a constant passion throughout my life, and I hope that you will trust me with your furry (or non furry) companions.
Reviews

Stefanie treats our pets with the utmost love and care, and we are so fortunate to have found her on the first try! Leaving home is easier knowing that she'll be watching them :)

I was extremely nervous leaving my baby with anyone when I came to visit Boca Raton. Thor is my everything and is special needs, but Stephanie not only was professional, she reassured me everyday with lots of pictures and videos of him. She went above and beyond and even gave him a bath for me before heading back to me. Having her pick up Thor and drop him off was one of the best decisions of this trip so I didn’t have to leave my hotel. I wish I had Stephanie on the west coast to take home when I need someone to watch him again. What an experience! Thor has had many sitters and Stephanie was just outstanding.

Stefanie's care for animals continues to amaze us. She's been watching our boys for 2 years now, and every time we think she's pulled out all the stops in the way she engages them, she finds a new way to innovate - and takes her level of care up another notch. It might be a new treat or puzzle, or something more profound. Whatever it is, we're thrilled and impressed every time we read one of her report cards from her latest hangout session with our pets. In our eyes, she's the gold standard for animal care!

We use Stephanie EVRRY time we travel because she is the BEST! She is truly an expert in pet care. Every visit, she makes sure our cats are entertained and every day she brings new toys and treats for them. She makes sure everything is impeccably clean. She also takes the cutest photos and videos! It is such a great feeling knowing that our floofs are getting the best care and attention when we are away! We love Stephanie!
