🐾 Hi, I’m Stef 👋 I’m a Registered Nurse with 20 years’ experience, now bringing the same calm, reliable care to pets here in rural Herefordshire through my pet care business, Homestead Helpers UK. I grew up surrounded by animals and have been working in pet care since 2016, caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments - including working breeds. I also support smallholdings and care for a variety of animals, so I’m confident, attentive, and comfortable handling responsibility. At home, I have a 5 year old helper who loves to join me on dog walks after school, on weekends, and during school holidays, making every walk fun, safe, and full of attention for your pets. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. My focus is on maintaining routines, providing gentle and confident handling, and keeping owners updated - so you can relax knowing your pet is safe and happy. This was Barney's first stay with Stef and I was so pleased that we found her for daycare. Barney was immediately relaxed with her which usually takes some time around strangers. Stef clearly invests time in the dogs she is caring for and sent lots of updates and pictures of their adventures out on walks. She is accommodating and friendly and I would highly recommend.
Stef was great, very focused on the welfare of the dog and lovely to talk to. Most importantly puppy had the time of his life in the woods.
Great communication and updates, as ever. We always enjoy leaving Pepper with Stef. She loves it too.
Really excellent. My dog had the best time at Stefanies house. Will be my go to do when we need any doggy care. Thank you!

Stef is great. Communication before during and after sitting is excellent. She always includes Pepper in activities that she enjoys and keeps us updated on what's going. Very helpful, reliable and a pleasure to work with. Pepper loves her stays. :)

Programa
I am available during the hours of 9-3pm Monday- Friday. I am happy to board but please be aware I do have a 5 year old in the house so your pet would need to be ok around small children. I can provide a weekend service but again if your dog is ok with young children.

I have a fenced grassed garden with a locked gate. I am happy to put your dog in a crate if needed. There is plenty of places for walking locally on or off the lead (depending on your dogs recall). I am happy to take your dog in my car if required.
Un día normal
I love to keep dogs interested & love taking them on stimulating walks. I live near some woods, a park & the common for new & interesting smells. I love to play lots of games with them too.
