(It is free) My experience administering medication: Yes, I've had to quite a few times. I have learned that it works best with peanut butter and/or cheese. My second eldest has a lot of medical experience with pets. They were a vet assistance and Kitten Foster and is very comfortable with injections and administering medications. Why I personally love dog sitting: I grew up with many, many dogs, not all at one time but up to 5 at a time, Many cats- Once my mama’s cat had a litter of 9 baby kittens, 6 birds- two at a time, Cockatiels & Parakeets. 1 iguana. - 'J.A.B.S.', our pet iguana, was 6 feet from head to tail, before he passed away. When J.A.B.S. was first purchased we had to feed him certain types of baby food by toothpick because he was so small & fragile. 2 pigs both named Penelope. No, I did not have them at the same time. Pigs are just as clean as cats! 4 chickens- for eggs, most of the chickens would lay 1-2 eggs daily. Our chickens love eating the pig feed. 2 ducklings, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, 4 hamsters, many fish, 2 frogs, mice. NO, I did not live on a farm :) Meet & Greet Our Pet: Greetings from our puppy Papas, a cream colored Pitbull mix, and our cats Pumpkin (age 10), Bear (age 9), and Pesto (age 6). About our yard: We have small fenced in yard/patio! We also live by a large beautiful Dog Park! We take the dogs for walks and Play there! The Park is .01 miles away! We also have a second even larger park .5 miles away, Mountains Edge Regional! Here is where we will take our daily walks: Daily walks are a part of the day time & overnight experience. A pooped dog is a happy dog!! We take Papas out for walks at lease twice daily. Papas has a lot of energy and is friendly. The dogs will be taken on a walk for 1 to 2 times each day. Every dog has their own set of walking guidelines. We can walk the dogs further if owner requests it.. Our local park is 1 minute away (Across the street) A bath is not included but can be added with a fee. See the pricing guide for details. What Papa's Playhouse would like to know about your dog: The dog guest must like other dog guests and our dog. Does your dog have any medical conditions that require medicine or other therapies? I would like to know if your dog has any behavioral issues? Is your dog a barker? Is your dog a digger? Does your dog chew? On toys, shoes, stuffed animals, etc? Has your dog been around children before? What does your dog need to relax? Does your dog have a favorite toy? Does your dog do any tricks or commands? What is your dog’s potty & feeding schedule? Is your dog potty trained? Is your dog is prone to accidents when nervous/anxious? What is your dog’s sleeping schedule? Does your dog have clothing to play dress-up in? **Please check your dog for fleas before & after stay! We have many dogs coming thru and do not want infestation to pass on! Thanks. *A bath is not included in an overnight stay but can be added with a fee. See the pricing guide. Your dog’s sleeping arrangement: Your dog can sleep anywhere they feel like it. We do put up multiple gates to keep dogs/people out of certain areas like bedrooms. We have a spare dog bed that is not being used currently. At night, all dogs will sleep inside, on their own bed/area/crate/Etc. If needed, the dog can sleep in it’s own crate; if being crate trained. Or a puffy dog blanket, we can provide or supply your own. We have had previous dogs on the couch or anywhere they feel like at night. Papas has his own bed and crate and sleeps there too. The time we will spend with your fur-baby: Hosting your dog is no trouble at all; due to that I am a stay at home mother of four children. One which is special needs. Another is physically disabled. I spend all day at home with your dog as I work from home. When we are away from Papas the thing we love most is pictures. We like the visual confirmation that he is okay and having fun. Our parent guests can expect some text of their dog(s), Cat(s) while they are away. We love photography! So, you will have at lease one text picture of your dog doing something with the family. We will also upload any other photos taken of your dog on our Rover.com website. (Rover.com automatically does the photos online.)
