I have experience of looking after senior dogs (approximately labrador size) with arthritis and other health issues affecting mobility, such as lumbosacral disease. We also dealt with three bouts of Vestibular Syndrome with the same dog. My experience includes administering drugs and dealing with the inevitable accidents, ensuring they don't struggle to feed as well as adjusting activity levels. I am also very familiar with the cognitive decline that affects older dogs, the disorientation and the pacing around. My husband and I have adopted rescue dogs from the UK and abroad for the past eight years. The youngest one was 5 years old and the oldest was 8, and she's now a very slow but very loving 17 year old. I have experience with looking after frightened, timid but also bossy adult dogs, but can help look after young dogs too. I am looking forward to meeting more dogs and help look after them.
