Animal Lover with experience!
I have had animals my entire life. I have raised dogs and cats (and other farm animals) since childhood. We have had numerous championship show animals, and I have groomed and trained animals for the show ring since I was a teenager. I have also worked professionally as a dog trainer and caretaker, and worked for a breeder as an assistant raising puppies. I love all animals, and am looking forward to making yours part of my family temporarily while you are unavailable!

I only care for pets at their home, as I feel most animals are less stressed in an environment they are comfortable with. I am willing to work with you on their needs and schedule and go from there based on what your furry family needs. I am comfortable with all types of animals, big and small and have vast experience to allow me to cater my needs to them specifically.

To preface, we have used Stefani now 3 times and the first 2 went very well! This third time was very stressful though. We booked for housesitting (3 days) and I noticed I hadnt gotten any ring notifications in a long time so I checked the feed for the day, saw that Stefani had left and not stayed the night for either of the first 2 nights (which was our primary need, overnight care). I checked the pet camera from the living room and saw that both dogs had already been locked in the hall at 7:45pm (that is their nighttime spot, okay for sleep but NOT for long periods of time, since it is small and these are big 100 and 130 lb alaskan malamutes). I saw further that she had only stopped by very briefly all day, 8 mins for breakfast (2 hours late), 8 mins for lunch, and 11 mins for dinner; 27 collective minutes for an entire day. I sent a message asking if everything was okay, but got no response. By 8:45am she still wasn't there and still no response so I messaged again. She showed up shortly after that, but I never did get a response. The dogs were locked in the hall for 13+ hours, when we ask that they not be left alone for more than 8 hours at a time. When we got home, the hallway was littered with wood chips from them eating the baseboards and doorframes, clearly anxious in her absense. I totally understand that things come up, but I never got any sort of communication. I would have been more than willing to accommodate, had she reached out or even responded at all. To be fair, she did show up after my second message and spend more time with them then. But it made an already emotional funeral weekend even more stressful having to worry about my fur family from out of state. I am glad that they are all safe and seemingly healthy, so long as they didn't swallow any of the wood shards (which I am still a bit worried about, however).
Stefani was great. We appreciate having someone who will care for our fur babies like we do; it makes it easier to go away without worrying while we are gone. Thank you Stefani.

Stefani made her schedule work for a meet and greet prior to my vacation so that she could meet the pups and get the lay of the land. When I returned home, my dogs were happy and healthy.

Harmonogram
I currently am on leave from work, and will start back up full time in September. I am accepting house sitting requests on a very limited basis as I have a newborn who will also need to come with for overnight stays. While I do understand that this will not be a great fit for everyone, it does affect my availability for overnights substantially. I usually have one weekend a month unavailable. I have a midday hour long lunch on work days, where I can run home to check on pets, potty them, etc. I am available all weekday evenings and mornings as well.
