Home full-time w/ large backyard
Hello pawrents! Stanley and I are lifelong animal lovers and have collective experience spanning two decades of being pet guardians and caring for, loving and training dogs, particularly from a rescue background. Sharing our lives with dogs that often come from difficult beginnings means we understand patience and the need for individualized care for dogs from all walks of life; we take safety and well-being very seriously. Christine also grew up riding and training horses, learning firsthand how to care for various animals on the farm like chickens, goats, cats and dogs. We have experience administering medication, first aid basics (caring for cuts and bandaging wounds) and caring for senior dogs. Currently, we have a 4-year old German Shepherd x Border Collie named Axel who loves all humans and meeting new doggo friends. We provide a spacious and open environment for your dog to run and play both indoors and outdoors. We have an expansive, completely fenced in backyard with plenty of fun sniffy spots and room to play fetch, tug and more. We are located near lots of walking trails/parks and will ensure your furry love gets plenty of steps in with us. We are experienced with high-energy dogs and working breed types - we're all about physical AND mental stimulation here! We also enjoy being couch potatoes and will meet your dog where they are and the care they need 😊. With your permission, we also enjoy going on little adventures such as a dog-friendly cafe or nearby hikes. We both work from home, giving us plenty of time to give your dog attention and playtime as well as all the potty breaks. Our guests will always be supervised when outside in the backyard and they are welcome to spend their vacation time the way they'd like to whether lounging outside in the sun or on a dog bed inside. Our home is well-equipped to take care of all guests and we are able to provide most things they may need during their stay including premium treats and plenty of beds - no stress if you forget their food bowl or leash! Cannot recommend Christine and Stanley for taking wonderful care of Koda!
We continue to book with Stanley and Christine. Our dog Paisley can’t jump out of the car fast enough when we pull up to their house. It’s clear she loves them and enjoys staying with them. They are really good about adjusting to her schedule and sending pictures. Can’t say enough good things about them.
Stanley and Christine did a wonderful job with taking care of our two pups! Highly communicative and accommodating of our needs and provided pictures everyday we were away. Will happily reach out to them in the future next time we go out of town!
As usual, Douglas had a great time with Stanley and Christine. They found ways to keep him happy and active even with the wet and rainy weather. They’re the best!

Schedule
We both work from home and are available to provide around-the-clock care including playtime, potty breaks and any special needs they may have such as medications.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a completely fenced backyard and all dogs will be supervised when outside. We oversee playtime and ensure all dogs are comfortable and interfere/redirect as needed for the safety of everyone. We prefer to crate all guest dogs during the night for their well-being; we're always happy to discuss any concerns with this sleep arrangement. We supervise meal times and will take steps as needed (i.e feed in separate rooms or spaces) to accommodate any quirks or tricky behaviors. All guest dogs will wear an AirTag during their stay with us as a precaution. We prefer to do meet and greets before a planned stay if timing allows. During this meeting, we'll go over your dog's likes/dislikes, any behavioral challenges or quirks we should be aware of, any schedules or routines you'd like for us to follow, what motivates them (play, treats, and/or affection) and most importantly, ensure you and your dog feel comfortable with us.
Pets
A typical day
Physical and mental stimulation are incredibly important for happy and fulfilled dogs! We center daily activities around playing games (ex: fetch, tug, snuffle mats, "find it"), exploring nearby trails and parks with plenty of sniffing time and basic obedience/training (ex: reinforcing training you're already doing or agility equipment). Rest is also key for happy and healthy dogs, so we ensure that everyone gets time to relax and reset before the next round of play.
