Safety, trust & environment

Your pet's safety and routine come first. In your home, I follow the instructions you give me - feeding times, medication, litter box habits, and any quirks your pet has. I'm an enhanced-background-checked sitter with 30 years of animal care experience and a particular focus on senior cats, so I'm comfortable with the extra patience and gentle handling older pets often need. I currently share my home with three cats of my own, so I understand what a calm, well-run multi-cat household looks like day to day.

Information Stacy K. would like to know about your pet

Before our first visit, it's helpful to know: - Feeding schedule, portions, and any dietary restrictions - Medications, supplements, or health conditions I should be aware of - Litter box location and preferences (or bathroom routine for dogs) - Hiding spots or behaviors when nervous, especially for shy or senior pets - Access instructions (lockbox code, key location, alarm codes) - Emergency vet contact and a backup contact person - Anything your pet loves or dislikes that would help the visit go smoothly

A typical day

- Interactive play with wand toys or laser pointers for cats who enjoy it - Fetch, tug, or a game of chase in the yard for dogs who have the energy - A short walk around the neighborhood for dogs who enjoy getting outside - Gentle brushing/grooming time, especially appreciated by senior cats and dogs alike - Quiet lap time and affection for pets who prefer calm company over high energy play - Fresh water checks and a tidy litter box every visit for cats - Fresh water and a bathroom break for dogs on every visit I adjust the visit to what your pet enjoys and can handle - a playful cat or dog gets active play, a senior pet gets slower, gentler attention.

Pet care experience

Cat care with 30 years of hands-on experience - and a soft spot for senior cats. I grew up in an animal-loving family and have cared for pets my whole life, but senior cats are where I specialize. I currently share my home with three cats of my own: Chuck (17), Yuki (7), and Chicken Nugget (2) - so I understand the extra patience, routine, and gentle handling older cats need. I'm comfortable with medication administration, mobility-limited cats, and other senior-cat care needs - happy to discuss your cat's specific routine before booking. I typically reply in under 30 minutes. I'm available for short-notice and same-day drop-in visits, and I keep my calendar confirmed and up to date so you know I'm ready to help. Send me a message and let's talk about what your pet needs - I'd love to help!

Ani (Stacy) has watched my elderly cats several times. She has been my regular cat sitter and has watched them for everything from long weekends to long trips out of the country. She takes time to care for them and keep them watered and fed as well as provide her medications and cuddles. I will definitely have her cat sit again.
