A typical day
I try to follow the pets’ lead. On walks I make some sniffing and exploring time before or after a steady pace for exercise. For shy pets I will sit on the floor and wait for them to come to me. I may use a toy to encourage curiosity.

Pet care experience
I offer check ins for cats and dogs. I’m willing to take time to visit and play, feed, clean litter, take short walks. I’m especially good with shy cats and dogs who need patience and calm care to feel safe to come out for attention, food and play. All my pets have been rescues and several with special needs, including a very timid dog who was feral when rescued. I have fostered cats for the Watauga Humane society. I currently live with a very shy Beagle mix and one-eyed Maine Coon mix. I have a varied work schedule substitute teaching and can plan my availability with prior notice but might also in a pinch. Just call and see! I have two indoor pets, cat and dog. So I am walking moderately each day and and well rehearsed in kitty play. In your home I will do the same according to you & your pet’s wishes.

Stacy went above and beyond taking care of our pups and little extra things we didn’t ask for but certainly appreciated (like bringing our delieveries inside). I had the added benefit of having my husband actually being home to meet, greet and experience some of Stacy’s work in person, as he had to stay home to work while I went out of town. He had only wonderful things to say about Stacy. All I can say is: thank you!! ☺️
