Availability

I’m available to sit, do drop-ins and walks every day of the week. I’m a small business owner in a separate industry and grateful for the flexibility. I generally require a 3 day notice for house sitting, walks and drop-ins. There are days in which I can make myself available the same day ONLY for walks and drop-ins. You will know if I am available for same day walks and drop-ins if I have appeared in your search results. You are welcome to submit a request for same day service then. I do not do walks and drop-ins for others during a house sitting if a client has indicated they are uncomfortable with this or if it conflicts with another pets walking/feeding time.

I do not bring guests of any kind to client’s homes. It is fine if clients have service workers such as house cleaners entering the home, as long as I am made aware of the time of their arrival. I generally do not wear shoes in people’s houses and I always clean up after myself if staying for several hours or more. I may bring house slippers to wear inside based on the circumstances. Please indicate if you are able to provide both a towel and a washcloth. It is ok if you can only provide one of these or neither. I will bring my own if needed. I am slightly anemic so I ask that you keep your place at a reasonable temperature. You may also provide a few blankets.

Information Stacy A. would like to know about your pet

Parents need to reach out to me at least 3 days in advance for a sitting. This is because I will need to do a meet and greet (preferably in person) before deciding if this a good fit. During the meet and greet, I will ask you some questions about your pets needs. We will talk in detail about my stay beforehand so that we can both feel comfortable. I will call you via the app if you’re contacting me for a same day walk or drop-in visit.

A typical day

Sitting: Includes up to three 20 minute walks per day. Shorter walks (a few minutes) can be as frequent as every two hours. If your pet is trained to use the bathroom inside on a pad, I will clean the area as frequent as needed. I will also clean out litter boxes as frequent as needed. Walking only: Includes a 20 minute walk. Drop-ins only: I can stay with your pet for at least 30 minutes after they’ve finished eating to make sure they haven’t thrown up or engaged in any concerning behaviors.

Sat for a dog with cancer 🙏

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Stacy and I’m 34 years old. I joined Rover because I love spending time with pets but I’m not in a position to have my own. Since having joined Rover, I’ve worked with reactive dogs, puppies a couple of weeks old, intact dogs and dogs having undergone surgery. I’ve also either pet sat or lived with Labrador Retrievers, Pugs, Poodles, Chihuahuas, Old English Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Schnauzers, Irish Wolfhounds, Pitbulls, German Shepherds, Great Danes and others. This is aside from the cats, reptiles and tarantulas I’ve either sat for or interacted with during a long term period. As of April 2026, my longest stay (over two weeks) has been for a dog with cancer. It’s been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.

Stacy was absolutely wonderful sitting for my anxious and playful dog while I was out of town. She was highly communicative, flexible, and always went above and beyond. I could not recommend Stacy's services more highly and will surely count on them to watch my dog again in the future!
