Sat for a dog with cancer 🙏
Hello, my name is Stacy and I’m 34 years old. I joined Rover because I love spending time with pets but I’m not in a position to have my own. Since having joined Rover, I’ve worked with reactive dogs, puppies a couple of weeks old, intact dogs and dogs having undergone surgery. I’ve also either pet sat or lived with Labrador Retrievers, Pugs, Poodles, Chihuahuas, Old English Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Schnauzers, Irish Wolfhounds, Pitbulls, German Shepherds, Great Danes and others. This is aside from the cats, reptiles and tarantulas I’ve either sat for or interacted with during a long term period. As of April 2026, my longest stay (over two weeks) has been for a dog with cancer. It’s been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I do not bring guests of any kind to client’s homes. It is fine if clients have service workers such as house cleaners entering the home, as long as I am made aware of the time of their arrival. I generally do not wear shoes in a client’s home and I always clean up after myself if staying for several hours or more. I may bring house slippers to wear inside based on the circumstances. I am slightly anemic so I ask that you keep your place at a reasonable temperature. You may also provide a few blankets.

Stacy is great! She was very communicative and helpful when our dog was having stomach issues while we were out of town. We felt like he was in great hands and we came home to a happy and healthy dog and cat.
Stacy was great staying at our home with our dog and cat! She sent regular updates and she was very thorough in asking questions during our meet and greet to make sure that she really understood their needs and the best way to care for them. Looking forward to booking her again!
Stacy was a pleasure to work with! She spent so much time with me during the meet and greet, making sure she understood the needs of my two Bengal boys. She did a great job taking care of them while I was away. One of the boys had just had an injury before I left and she was so attentive, making sure I got pictures of the wound to make sure everything was ok. She was great at sending pics in general, which was wonderful. Highly recommend Stacy!! I've already booked with her again :)
Stacy was wonderful! My cat was thrilled to be taken care of by her and wasn't happy she left her (Ha Ha). This was my first time doing this (Having someone stay in my home) and when I met Stacy prior to my getaway, she put my mind at ease. Answered all my questions and had some for me as well which showed me how professional she is and how she takes her job seriously. I came back and was thrilled all went so smoothly with the Cat and the house. She also sent communications while I was away and pictures of my litty so those made my day as I was missing the little fuzzball. I definitely plan to use Stacy again in the future. I recommend her highly.

Schedule
I’m available to sit, do drop-ins and walks every day of the week. I’m a small business owner in a separate industry and grateful for the flexibility. I generally require a 3 day notice for house sitting, walks and drop-ins. There are days in which I can make myself available the same day ONLY for walks and drop-ins. You will know if I am available for same day walks and drop-ins if I have appeared in your search results. You are welcome to submit a request for same day service then. I do not do walks and drop-ins for others during a stay if a client has indicated they are uncomfortable with this or if it conflicts with another pets walking/feeding time.
