Availability
Since pet care is my full-time job, I am available during regular business hours Monday-Friday, as well as weekends and most holidays. I do give priority to time sensitive walks and/or feedings, so there's a lot of flexibility in my schedule for walks that are for exercise only or cat visits.

Knowing that animals can be unpredictable, especially when their humans are away, I always take extra precautions with "escape artists" or pets with separation anxiety.

Information Stacey V. would like to know about your pet
For Dogs: Do they have any food allergies? I use grain free, chicken free, healthy, tiny training treats. I use them sparingly for photos, rewards and redirection. Does your dog have any behavior triggers - other dogs, chases squirrels, don't like their feet touched, don't like when humans wear hats or sunglasses, etc.? For Cats: Do they jump on countertops, knock over drinks on the coffee table, are they okay with being picked up?
A typical day
That depends on the dog or cat-whether they like to play with toys, are obsessed with fetch or just be a couch potato and enjoy a snuggle session. Their wish is my command!

Pet care experience
I became a volunteer at Austin Pets Alive twelve years ago, primarily as a dog walker, photographer and videographer. I have received extensive dog behavior/canine good citizen training and am comfortable dealing with all dog breeds, ages, sizes, special needs and temperaments. I also volunteered as a mentor, training new volunteers how to use equipment properly, enter and exit a kennel safely, etc. I am certified in Dog CPR, First Aid & Safety. Since moving to Fort Collins in June 2024, I have been volunteering at Animal Friends Alliance. I am very comfortable caring for cats as well. I have had three cats of my own as pets. I worked as a Litigation Legal Assistant for about 20 years. I paid off my home in March 2019 and said good-bye to my legal career. I have been a full-time professional dog walker and pet/house sitter since then. Initially, just as a way to do what I love while figuring out what do next. I quickly realized that this IS my new career! I will treat your pet as if it were my own and can't wait to meet your furry family member!

Reviews

Stacey did an amazing job taking care of our three fur babies for an extended weekend! She always makes sure to send us plenty of pictures, and we feel so at ease knowing they are getting so much love and attention from her. She truly goes above and beyond, and we couldn't recommend her more highly!

Stacey did an amazing job with both of our dogs AND our cat! She consistently sent us pictures/ updates throughout the day, and we loved how she went above and beyond to make sure their needs were met!

Our dogs had a great second stay!

Stacey has boarded our senior dog a few times now and has always been kind, responsible, and trustworthy. She sends daily updates, responds quickly, is comfortable administering medication, takes our dog on daily walks, and pampers her well. It is a huge relief to have comfort in our dog’s care and safety while we are away. We highly recommended Stacey.
