I LOVE all animals, dogs and cats especially. I actually owned a pet sitting service for 7 years from 1995 - 2002 in Park Ridge. I had over 250 regular clients and 16 employees. I was still very young and ended up selling the business as it was becoming overwhelming. I always regret doing that and not hiring a business consultant and expanding. I was never happier in my work than caring for people's pets. My main gig now is as a Realtor with eXp Realty. My brand is "The Rescue Realtor" as I donate 10% of every commission to Animal Rescue. I work with animals of all breeds and sizes and special needs. I understand rescue animals very well and know how to work with them and their different requirements. I have a 5 year old, 47 lb. rescued American Bully named Shortcake. I fostered her after my Soul Dog, Zeus, passed from cancer. I specifically asked for the one that "no-one else wanted". She had been found as a stray with a broken hip. Her ears were cropped. They think her breeder tossed her for some reason. Today, she is my little princess and we visit rehabs (like Whitehall) to raise the spirits of those going through a variety of medical issues. My pets are the loves of my life. They have all been "special needs." My cat, Dr. J, had some behavioral issues, a heart murmur and early renal failure (He lived to almost 23 years old!) My previous dog has had countless surgeries on his knees, skin allergies, behavioral issues, etc. I understand that some pets need a different approach and knowledge with their care and I have that experience. So, whatever your situation or needs of your pets, I can adapt to it. Some people get embarrassed about their routines with there pets, but believe me, I have seen it all! I'd rather hear about how you buy your guinea pig a first class seat on a flight to New York than about any type of neglect. I LOVE people that LOVE their pets!
