Boutique Care for Small Dogs

Welcome to The Little Dog Lounge! 🐾 I specialize in cozy, personalized in-home boarding exclusively for small dogs. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone while you're away, and my goal is to provide a safe, comfortable home-away-from-home where your pup is treated like part of the family. I intentionally accept only one client's dog(s) at a time, so your dog won't be staying in a house full of unfamiliar boarding dogs. This allows me to provide lots of individual attention and maintain a calm, relaxed environment. I'm the owner of The Little Dog Lounge LLC, am insured, and have six years of dog-care experience, including caring for senior dogs and administering oral medications. Your dog will stay in my home alongside my own small, friendly dog, Cookie. Dogs are welcome to relax on the furniture, snuggle up, and make themselves at home. I also send regular photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your little one is comfortable and cared for. I especially love creating a cozy environment for small dogs who may feel overwhelmed in traditional boarding facilities or around groups of larger dogs.

Schedule

I maintain a consistent weekday work schedule, so my home is best suited for small dogs who are already comfortable with a typical daytime routine while their family is at work. Before and after work, I maintain your dog's normal feeding, potty and evening routines as closely as possible, with plenty of time for attention, cuddles and relaxing together. Pee-pad-trained dogs are especially welcome, and evenings and weekends allow for lots of additional one-on-one time.

Safety, trust & environment

My home is calm, clean and intentionally kept low-key for my small guests. I specialize in small dogs and accept only one client's dog(s) at a time, allowing me to provide individualized care rather than a busy, multi-dog boarding environment. Dogs are welcome on my furniture and bed, and I do my best to maintain the routines and comforts they're accustomed to at home. I pay close attention to each dog's behavior, appetite and overall well-being throughout their stay. You'll also receive regular photos and updates so you know how your pup is doing. Before a first stay, I like to learn about your dog's personality, routine, feeding schedule, potty habits, sleeping preferences, medications and anything else that helps them feel comfortable. My goal is simple: for your little dog to feel safe, loved and at home while you're away. 🐶💕

A typical day

A typical day at The Little Dog Lounge is relaxed and homey. 🐾 Mornings start with potty time, breakfast, and some attention before I leave for work. During the weekday, dogs should be comfortable relaxing independently while I’m at work, just as they might when their family is away during the day. Once I’m home, it’s their time! We have potty breaks, dinner, playtime, cuddles, and plenty of time to relax together. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and can settle in wherever they’re most comfortable. I follow each dog’s usual feeding, potty, and bedtime routine as closely as possible so their stay feels familiar. Pee-pad-trained pups are welcome, too. Evenings are cozy and low-key, and weekends mean even more time together. Since I only accept one client’s dog(s) at a time, each guest gets personalized attention and a peaceful home environment rather than a busy boarding setting.

Before your pup’s stay, I’d love to know about their personality, daily routine, feeding schedule, potty habits, sleeping preferences, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and at home. 🐾 Please let me know about any medications, allergies, health concerns, separation anxiety, or special needs. It’s also important for me to know about any history of indoor marking, accidents, chewing or destructive behavior, as well as how your dog typically does with other small dogs. Since I specialize in small-dog boarding in my home, I want to make sure each pup is a good fit for the environment and that I can provide the safest, most comfortable stay possible. The more I know about your little one ahead of time, the better I can keep their routine familiar and help them settle right in. 💕🐶
