15+ Years Experience Caring For Dogs, Cats, Bunnies, Reptiles, and Homes! Pets are family and it can be nerve racking to find the perfect sitter so that you can truly enjoy your vacation/focus on your work trip. My goal is to understand your pet's routine & mimic that to the best of my ability so that they feel safe and loved while you are away from home. I have experience with dogs, cats, bunnies, and even wildlife and farm animals! (I was a wildlife rescue volunteer.) I love snuggling with laid back puppies & kitties and playing with those who are active. I am a walker and yoga instructor, so if your puppy loves long walks I would be happy to have a companion! I also have a soft heart for senior animals and understand the patience needed, and I am experienced at giving medications. (I was the proud mom to an Australian Shepherd for 15 wonderful years and many, many kitties over the years. Ask me about my Mogwa & Tyler - loves of my life!) Availability: - I only offer to watch dogs/cats in their own home. - I work from home but do usually step out for ~4 hours to grab food and go to the gym. - I happily travel to housesit! I’ve sat for people all over the US. It is a wonderful way for me to explore new cities and for you to have a trusted caretaker for your home and pets.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Stacey! She was an absolutely incredible sitter for our anxious pup Buckee. She is definitely a Buckee whisperer and managed to give him meds without any issues and to avoid Buckee's typical hunger strikes when we're away. She paid close attention to detail (including catching a few mistakes we made in dosing Buckee's meds), was a clear communicator, providing regular - and adorable! - updates, and left our house spotless. We felt at ease knowing Buckee was so happy and well cared for by Stacey and can't wait to have her watch him again!
Stacy was amazing. It was our first time leaving our rescue dog who pulls on walks and barks at people and dogs on walks. She sent us pictures everyday of our dog who was so happy with Stacy, our dog cuddled her and liked her so much. we didn't have to worry at all about our dog and two cats while we were on our 8 day vacation. We will definitely use Stacy again!!!!!
During the holidays, we booked Stacey (fourth time hiring her) to watch our home and cat while we were out of the country. We are always extremely impressed with the sincere level of care and attention she provides. This time she housesat and took care of our (now) sole kitty cat. She always asks very caring questions during the pre-care 'meet & greet' and while we were away, she made sure to follow all of the feeding and litterbox instructions we left, played with our energetic kitty often and even sent us daily updates and photos to put our minds at ease. We returned home to a happy and healthy cat, who seemed to wonder where his new BFF went, and to a spotless house (better than we left it!), with detailed notes on the stay re everything from packages, to mail to cat care and beyond. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Overall, I would highly recommend Stacey to anyone in need of detail-oriented, reliable and responsible care for their home and pets. She truly went above and beyond to ensure that our home and kitty cat were well taken care of while we were away, and kept the communication going throughout. Stacey is THE BEST!
Stacey-is-the-cats-pajamas! =^._.^= ∫ Just returned home after she watched our two cats for a couple days, her third time caring for them. One very needy senior and a 'tween who redefines the word 'energetic'. Between her detailed summaries and specific play for each, she demonstrates time after time that she genuinely cares, not only for our furry friends but to ensure we return to a calm and clean home! She is highly reliable and an exceptional communicator.

Schedule
I usually step out of the house for a few hours to grab food and exercise. During our meet and greet we will discuss your pets schedule (feeding, medications, potty breaks) so that I can schedule when I step out around your pets needs.

Safety, trust & environment
During the meet and greet we will go over any care instructions for your home. If I am housesitting, I’ll ask you to show me where I should sleep, should I bring my own towels, etc. If you have any house rules (ex: no shoes in house, a certain room is off limits, etc), I will abide by them. I am happy to bring in the mail/packages and take care of plants in addition to your pets. I do request that if you have cameras around your house that you let me know where so that I can ensure my own privacy and safety. I am certified in pet CPR & first aid through FEMA.
A typical day
Kitties can expect to have lots of play time and cuddle time, depending on what they want. I usually bring a wand toy with me and my kitty clients get super excited to have a new toy in their life! Pups can also expect a blend of active and cuddle time. In any regular day, I get anywhere from 10.000 - 20,000 steps so if your pups got the energy, I’ve also got it to match!
