Pet care experience

Flexible, responsive, full of heart

I have always been an owner of big dogs, German Shepherd and Akitas (but I no longer will take Akitas due to unfortunate incident) and some pretty cool cats. My parents were prominent breeders of German Shepherds. I've always been around animals, many kinds besides dogs. Friends' dogs always like me even when they don't like others. I pay attention to your habits/schedule for them and consideration for your home. My best friend was with me 13+ years-I miss him everyday and have love to give. I will take care of your dog like I did mine. When I do a sitting at your house for an extended stay, and you have some natural ingredients laying around, I love to cook and can make homemade dog treats with your permission. Because I'm in real estate, my main need is to be able to be gone 4 hrs to do an open house. And this is typically on a wknd day. If I'm staying at your house, I have to be able to do my recurring dog walks if required. So for that reason, I keep my range of service to work with the places I work for real estate and my own home to drop in on my own pets. I only take pets whom I've met to board in my home if it makes sense for my own schedule and your need. I need to know them because my vegetable garden, how they are inside and outside and meeting new people. But if you have an apt or condo dog, I'll ask if it's ok to come run in my big fenced back yard and how they are in a car. If they love car rides, I don't mind taking them with me if it works, they have fun, and I get a car buddy.

Stacey is great! She handles our boxer really well, and it’s so nice to have her keep an eye on him and our house while we’re away.

This was our second time having Stacey stay with our boxer, Fig, and it was a great relief to know that he had someone around who loves dogs, works well with them, and is willing to help manage his food quirks. There was great communication, she went out of her way to keep us in the loop, and she even cleaned up the kitchen and stripped the bed before she left. Stacey is a wonderful sitter and makes it so much easier to travel when we need to.

I of course love German Shepherds. I can take on large and small dog, cats, birds, etc. I want to know if they have specific times of feeding, whether they are hoovers or grazers. Want to know how long they typically want to go out after eating. Are they crated at night. Is there a need for a muzzle. Are they children friendly, cat crazy. What makes them sad, what amps them up. Do they take any medication. Do you prefer they not jump or get on their hind legs (i.e. older dogs). How do they travel in the car. I have done insulin injections on dogs. I have syringe fed baby birds as I used to oversee ~400 imported African Grey parrots. Not to much intimidates me. Just ask tell me what your pets needs are and see how i feel about it. It may be extra charges. Household stuff beyond the norm of taking out trash bins, bringing in mail, watering plants, may be extra charges depending upon the request.
