I have a fair degree of control over my schedule during the week and over the weekend. I would prefer more notice (3+ days) but please reach out to see if I can work things into my schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a 4 foot fence around my yard which is great for smaller dogs and medium/large dogs who aren’t motivated to jump. I’m on a one-way street with lower traffic patterns. Dogs are allowed on my furniture and I have a basement where my dog loves to play on very cold and poor weather days. For boarding and day care: I can only take dogs who are crate trained for safety purposes. I have extra crates.

A typical day
I love doing enrichment and training with dogs! Using a blend of mental stimulation and physical exercise is best for happy healthy dogs. We will take walks, sniff lots of things, and play their favorite games. If they’re more chill then we will do scritches and lounge time.

Pet care experience
I’ve had my dog, a cattle dog mix, for the past 2.5 years and am very well versed in energetic and smart dogs. I like creating various enrichment activities and puzzles for her. I have experience working with detailed training and behavior modification plans. So if your dog is working on specific tasks or obedience, needs some extra support, or is reactive then I am happy to care for them. Also willing to work with more chill dogs too! I love setting up fun activities, going for walks, playing tug or ball, or just getting in some snuggles. Each dog is an individual and I’ll work to learn their favorite ways to interact with me and the world.
Reviews

We were so lucky to have Stacey take care of our dog, Walnut! We had just come off a trip with Walnut and she was feeling very anxious already when she arrived at Stacey’s. Stacey was able to read Walnut’s cues and give her the space and support she needed to ease her anxiety over the first few days so she could settle and get out of her shell. Stacey is great at understanding what dogs need and provided is helpful updates throughout our trip!

Stacey was responsive, timely, and reliable and quickly won over my nervous cat... who has now declared Stacey her newest and bestest bff. Thanks, Stacey!

Stacey was on on time and was very good with my dog! Responsive and easy to communicate with and my dog loved her. My dog is picky and Stacey won her over quickly.
Stacey is a dedicated and compassionate carer in all aspects of life, especially with pets. They are attentive to each pet's needs, excellent at knowing and learning individual creatures' body language, and committed to following unique care needs. They are responsible and reliable and follow through on any and all commitments. I would trust Stacey with my pets wholeheartedly and highly recommend them to any friend, even those with more challenging creatures.
