I treat pets as if they were my own
I’ve always been an animal lover that is patient and nurturing to pets. I grew up with both dogs and cats. For years I have been a reliable and trustworthy person among family, friends, and neighbors. I have extensive experience checking in on pets and playing with them throughout the day, dog walking, and overnight pet/house sitting for a variety of cat and dog breeds. I also have experience administering medication to pets if needed. For example, one dog I’ve watched many times had a case of kennel cough/pneumonia and/or ear infection that required daily antibiotics and ear drops. I am extremely passionate about pets and giving them the best care possible to ensure they remain healthy, active, and happy. I take pride in providing excellent care and peace of mind for pet owners. I also like to take photos of the pets each day or so to send to their owners to keep them updated and ensure their well-being.

Safety, trust & environment
When pet sitting at client’s homes, I make sure the pets are always nearby or at least in view. I routinely let dogs out into the backyard for exercise and potty breaks as needed, and ensure all gates are closed/locked to keep them safe. I also regularly check their bowls so that they always have access to fresh water and are fed on their usual schedule.

Spencer did a great job. We appreciated the photos and communication. And very importantly, he didn’t just house sit our dog. He engaged with Bernadette and spent quality time with her.
We absolutely love having Spencer watch our dog! He takes the best care of her. They go on walks, he sends great pictures, and even gets her to swallow her pills when she is stubborn. Spencer takes great care of both our dog and our house when he dog sits and is reliable and responsible. Our dog likes to countersurf and can be sneaky to try to escape but he always makes sure to keep things off the counter and keep her from sneaking away. We trusted Spencer to watch our dog when she was going through punmonia and we had to travel- he took excellent care of her and told us every symptom as she was experiencing it so we could best coordinate for her health. Our dog also loves spencer so much that she rushes to our door to greet him and barks her head off to see him. When she gets back from walks with him she has the zoomies she is so happy! The only downside of you hiring Spencer is one less day that we get to have him haha. but really he is great!
Spencer is patient, responsible, and truly loves all dogs! He respects my home when he stays there with my dog as well. He is very responsive and I know that my dog is safe with him. My dog sometimes has selective hearing but Spencer handles her so well, with kindness and love! My dog always gets excited when he cares for her, with walks, snuggles, and playing in the yard. I would highly recommend Spencer for any dog.
If I say Spencer in my home, my dog will wait at the door until he gets here. A loving care taker and an even better house sitter! Fantastic with overnights if that’s your speed. I have recommended him to anyone who needs a sitter and without a doubt, he is the best sitter in W.Mich. You honestly do not need to look any further than this guy!
Spencer has watched my 2 large dogs for multiple weeks at a time during business trips and vacations over the past 5 years and has always handled them very well and treated them the way I would treat them myself. He is very dependable and has always been kind to my dogs. I have no hesitation in recommending Spencer to care for other's dogs as well.

Schedule
I am able to check on pets before and after work, as well as during lunch breaks. If/when working from home, I can stay at the house with the pets throughout the day. In the evenings and weekends while pet sitting, I take the dog(s) for a walk and then spend time playing and hanging out with them in the backyard and/or around the house.
