Phil and & I both work from home the majority of the week and I travel into London 1-2 times a week. One of us is always home as we need to look after our own dog Bernie. We tend to walk Bernie in the mornings before work and at lunchtime (weather permitting) and would match that with a guest dog depending on their energy levels.

We have a medium sized fully fenced garden for your dog to explore with access from the kitchen so easy access if they need the toilet. During the working week, Phil works downstairs and I work upstairs so your dog would have free reign of the house (if they have little legs and you would prefer they don't do stairs just let us know). Bernie tends to nap upstairs with me during the day or on the sofa with Phil, there is plenty of space to play (under observation) or relax separately. We would never leave the guest dog in the house alone (but may leave Bernie at home to walk a guest dog if they needed more exercise than Bernie or a bit of alone time). Bernie is crate trained and sleeps in the kitchen, but we understand many dogs prefer to sleep upstairs, we are happy to have your dog sleep in our room if they are happy to stay in their bed!

A typical day
We have three parks 5 minute walk from our house so lots of opportunities for varied walks, we can do on lead or off lead walking whichever you prefer. We do a mix with Bernie depending on the environment. We have licky pads and snuffle mats to engage your dog on a rainy day. We love to play tug of war with Bernie, just let us know which games they prefer.

My husband (Phil) and I are dog owners ourselves to our a little sausage Bernie (3.5 years old) and we would love to give him the occasional playmate whilst helping out local dog owners (we ourselves have started using local dog sitters so know how vital it is). We regularly look after our family dogs for holidays and Bernie loves having the house guests. We are happy to keep up with whatever training you want to maintain during their stay with us, just let us know their key commands, and what their favourite type of play is and their general schedule for walks/feeding, etc.

We met Sophie and Phil for a dog walk ahead of them then looking after Marshall (our Pug) for the day. Great comms, super flexible, lovely people. Would 100% recommend. Thank you Sophie and Phil!
Sophie is very welcoming and caring and I knew our pup was in great hands! Took the time to send us videos throughout the day and Zucca cant wait to visit again!
